My common sense didn’t awaken; reviewing Attraction Awaken for her edp, by Avon.

Long story short; I ordered the wrong thing, because I had convinced myself that Attraction Awaken was the latest release in the Attraction line. I remember flìcking though the catalogue and thinking "hmm, I'm  not sure why this would be chosen as a late spring/summer release", which should have been enough to make me pause and take another look - but nope, I guess that I was having a dumb day...

Anyway now I have it, let's find out how well this wears during the warmer months.

Avon currently has a 2-for-£22 offer on the perfume's in the Attraction fragrance line, so I was going to finally get a bottle of the original alongside the new launch [Attraction Awaken]. 

However I ultimately couldn't pass up the opportunity to get the flanker I'd paid attention to since it's launch & have been seriously eying up for the past few months instead, as there'll no doubt be plenty of future offers available to pick up the original. 

So, for now, let's take another step back in the Attraction timeline and meet Attraction Game.

I've Ready  been blown away by either of the other two, which are the ones I'd thought that I'd enjoy the most, so i didn't go into this expecting much.

After fragrance sellouts, order mixups and continued problems with my sense of smell, I'm finally ready to get back into testing Avon's new Perfect Nonsense fragrance trio.

Today I'm focusing on the fragrance which I thought sounded the most interesting & complex, and would be my favourite out of the bunch, based on reading the scent notes. Take a bow Bamboozie Cocktail 🍸

 I'm really excited to finally get to tuck in to Avon's new line 'Perfect Nonsense', which currently contains three fragrances. The fragrances are formed around clashing key scent notes; everything screams, energy,  uniqueness, and that a modern approach is being used.  

Peppery Peaches was the first fragrance in the line that I received [I ordered them all together from my Avon seller upon seeing that they were available in the UK, but the other two were already out of stock], so that will be my starting point for my reviews...

I hadn't known that a new Far Away flanker was coming until I saw it being advertised in a catalogue late last summer. The name and bright colour did strike me as odd for the time of the release. I ordered it anyway, as soon as I saw it being advertised in a Avon catalogue since there hadn't been a single Far Away flanker that I've outright disliked, however when I shared my thoughts on it I wasn't blown away by it. This was most likely because it is fragrance geared towards the spring/summer months, but it wasn't released until right before autumn. 

However now that brighter days are now finally here, I think that it's only fair that we revisit Far Away shine...

A Closer look at fantasy notes... [reviewing Attraction Closer edp, by Avon]

I recently tried one of the Attraction perfumes from Avon & really enjoyed it [Attraction Intense], so I wanted to invest in more from the line and have been reading up on each one.

There's not one, but four fantasy scent notes in the juice for the new Attraction flanker; Osmasylk Natsublim is described as spicy with a hint of clean skin, Georgywood as woody & clean, and I can't find a reliable description for the other two notes. 

the lack of information on the fantasy notes left me intrigued enough to decide to continue my exploration into the Attraction fragrance line here... 

Fire & nice... [reviewing Attraction Intense edp, by Avon]

The spicy heat from the ginger, joining with smooth & calm coconut sounds to me to be a pairing that just won't mesh well. 

I'd never really paid much attention to the Attraction line of fragrances before, always skipping to the Far Away and Eve collections. However that could change, depending on how well this impulsive purchase works for me...

I'm actually more excited to try this one compared to other ones in the past... and I always look forward to trying the flankers; it's meant to be richer in fruity notes & lighter in florals, and people who tried it prior to the general release say that it is one of the flankers that is greatly removed from the original Far Away. Every key scent note that Avon list is one that I enjoy and something that is less tied to the original Far Away sounds exciting, so yeah, I'm expecting great things.

However the first time that Splendoria appeared in a brochure, it was hailed as   being "the world's first perfume" to use this new 'white oud' accord.

I've been looking forward to getting to check out the latest Far Away release ever since I heard that it was in the works (somewhere around the new year). Avon are known for cheap & cheerful fragrances, but I've come to have pretty high expectations when it comes to their Far Away line. I've taken a little while to really get to know Aurora before reviewing it, to make sure I'm giving it the same chance to shine, that the other flankers I've had.

Far Away is one of those well-known fragrances that sounds great on paper,  but my body chemistry doesn't play well with. I've always wanted to like it - the mum of my childhood BBF sold Avon & gave her a bottle and I wanted to be a perfume wearing grown-up too. However it has always been too strong of a fragrance for migraine-prone me.

However I do enjoy the Far Away flankers,  and they don't seem to be migraine triggers for me. After picking up some more of the currently available flankers during some offers a little while ago, I'm ready to dive back into the magic of the Far Away line...
