This oriental and gourmand scent is expertly crafted around Ispahan rose, an ancient and exotic Persian bloom used in beauty for over 2,000 years and celebrated by women as a symbol of inner illumination.
I love the sweet & juicy freshness from the blend of lychee & raspberry notes in the opening for Shine. This blend has been gently spiced with pink pepper, for a energising charge. This sweet blend develops immediately and it lasts throughout the entire weartime, so remember that, as how much you enjoy the top notes greatly impacts how much you'll enjoy the fragrance as a whole.
The floral heart is the least 'classic Far Away' of everything I've owned from the line, since it takes a while for it to develop a powdery undertone; I can separate a few drops of jasmine with the rose, but I don't get much orange blossom at all - which is a note that I've come to expect plenty of in a Far Away fragrance. In Shine it's the gardenia that is the most prominent floral note to me, and I love that there is a whisper of violet in the background too.
Sandalwood isn't listed as being included in Shine, but I pick up on some. The comforting base of musky sandalwood and vanilla is a Avon classic, that's comforting like a hug. The tonka & a pinch of patchouli gives the final stages of weartime a bit more energy as the projection softens.
Officially listed scent notes: pink pepper, lychee, raspberry, rose, Violet, gardenia, musk, tonka bean and vanilla.I do now enjoy Far Away Shine now that is warmer and will continue to wear and enjoy it through to the summer, however I still wouldn't say that I love it because of it not wearing well in colder weather - I live in Northern England after all 😀 However a future repurchase isn't out of the question if I see see it on a special offer.
Far Away Shine can be bought from the Avon website, Avon catalogues,Amazon, eBay, and some Superdrug stores also stock it.
The 50ml bottle is £16, the 125ml scented lotion tube is £4, and the 10ml perfume pen is £7.
