Speedy Review: Easy Bake Intense edp, by Huda Beauty.

This floral gourmand fragrance rich, s#xy, and unapologetically intense. It wears all day with an addictive trail.

Juicy wild cherry opens the scent, deepening into s#xy white florals layered with warm, spiced cinnamon bark and creamy caramel milk, before melting into a rich, addictive vanilla bourbon base.

Inspired by the signature Easy Bake Loose Powder scent, now intensified. This fragrance transforms icon into a rich scent experience… the final step of glam, bottled.

I love the le Easy Bake perfume that Huda Beauty released in 2024, so I couldn't wait for this to launch

so I could test it to find out if it is even half as good - just  reaching the halfway mark will be good enough for a place on my wishlist...

Iced out: the Huda Beauty Icy Nude face gloss.

Get your icy vibe on with Hude Beauty's Icy Nude Face Gloss (4ml) a limited edition multipurpose highlighting face gloss.

This non sticky, lightweight gloss has a transformative pH pigment that adjusts to all skin tones for a diamond like dewy finish no matter the season. Formulated with highlighting pearl beads, each bead bursts with microfine pink, purple pearls that deliver a subtle glow and blend for a natural flush of color with a radiant sheen. Designed to be multipurpose so you choose where you want to shine and dazzle from all angles.

Huda Beauty is one of my favourite brands for the consistency of the great quality of their output and I've really come to especially enjoy their powder, liquid & cream blush formulas, so this le gel formula was always going to be something that I'd be pouncing on as soon it became available in the UK...

Easy as 1, 2, 3; trying the Huda Beauty 3-step Easy routine...

For the most blurred complexion, follow the 1, 2, 3 EASY ROUTINE!

Step 1: Prime with the Easy Blur Primer. Huda recommends using two fingers length worth of product.

Step 2: Apply Easy Blur Foundation and blend & buff into the skin.

Step 3: Set with the Easy Bake Loose Setting & Baking Powder for the ultimate airbrushed finish.

The primer is water-based and the matching foundation is oil-based, so it just floats over pores and fine lines as oil and water don't mix. Setting the foundation with powder is a Important step due to combining oil & water.

I got everything a fortnight ago and have been wearing them every day; I have very skin and was very sceptical about a routine involving a matte primer & non-skippable setting powder working for me, but I have large pores that are looking worse because of medication, so I went and bought the 3 products anyway the last time I went to the Trafford Centre...

The great bake off.. [reviewing Easy Bake edp, by Huda Beauty]

Bold, extremely sensual, and delicious, we took the iconic fragrance from our Easy Bake Loose Setting Powder and bottled it!

Capturing the seductive, creamy floral bouquet from our cult-fave powder, our limited-edition Easy Bake Eau de Parfum is a signature perfume that leaves an irresistible scent trail wherever you go.

Bursting with juicy pear, this sexy opening develops into a heart of an iconic tuberoseli infusion. A sensual base of vanilla & amber creates a powerfully irresistible fragrance with the staying power of our O.G. loose powder!

Today we're taking a dip into another perfume that I had no idea was in the works, until I just happened to randomly stumble across an online announcement about it being available. As it is labelled as there only being a limited amount available, I'm guessing then when it's sold out it's not coming back, so I wanted to get my review up ASAP to hopefully help people make their minds on if they want it or not.

It's certainly not a secret that I really enjoy enjoy Kayali fragrances and since Kayali is attached to Huda Beauty & Huds's sister is the CEO for Kayali,  I was instantly curious about just how well Huda can do in comparison - my bench mark is set high.

Needless to say; I couldn't resist making a purchase...

Does it shine like a diamond? [reviewing Sweet Diamond Pink Pepper | 25 edp, by Kayali]

"This scent is perfect for those who expect a little more from the unexpected"

I've honestly liked every Kayali fragrance so far, so this is an obvious brand for me to follow. Sweet Diamond uses rose, magnolia,  sandalwood, and vanilla, so I went in to this one with high expectations...

By invitation... [reviewing Invite Only Amber | 23 edp, by Kayali]

"A divinely sensual, decadent, and enticing fragrance with an addictive allure"

"Seduction in a bottle. Stimulate your senses with succulent top notes, which marry insatiably with the mid notes for alluring depth and dimension. This contrasts with the woody, sensual base to create the ultimate atmosphere of seduction and empowerment."

Cherry, honey and chocolate?! How could this not be amazing?!

I was so confident that I'd love this, that after not finding a tester bottle in my nearest Selfridges, I blindly ordered a bottle from Boots. This could go majorly wrong, since patchouli is also in Invite Only...

EOTD: the New Nudes eyeshadow palette, by Huda Beauty.

A quick and easy look today, with my favourite-colour-of-the-moment - pink.

Huda Beauty's New Nudes palette is a lovely palette for people who want to be pretty n' polished fitly for work and other occasions like weddings and christenings, which is what  the demos in my review focused on. Today I want to show a taste of the more fun looks that this palette is also capable of serving up...

Perfect for autumn? [reviewing the Desert Dusk eyeshadow palette, by Huda Beauty].

"Our palette is filled with vibrant, highly-pigmented shades that reflect the exotic landscape of the Arabian desert around us. We’ve introduced three new formulas to reflect all its dazzling mystery and charm, in particular the iridescent duo-chrome formulas just completely capture the mysterious desert mirages. I spent so much time to ensure that every shade was absolutely perfect, and every colour is so special to me” – Huda Kattan

Adventure on an exotic Arabian journey with the latest eyeshadow palette by Huda Beauty. This richly toned palette features 18 versatile shades that can be layered in infinite ways to create a vast array of looks with just one palette. Layer different textures to create unique combinations or add intrigue to smooth matte shades with a duo-chrome topper. From subtle, natural looks to dramatic statements and bold glittering looks, this palette will become your new essential for all your makeup routines - Huda Beauty

Today I have a review for something I've had for a while, and had assumed that I had already reviewed; Huda Beauty's Desert Dusk eyeshadow palette.

The colour story is made for autumn, but does the formula for the brand's oldest [that is still available] palette compare to the brand's newer releases?

Yay or nay? [reviewing Musk | 12 edp, by Kayali [Huda Beauty]].

Emanating power and confidence, MUSK | 12 begins with magnificent notes of Lotus Flower. Laced with exquisite Musk, the scent shines a light on one of the world’s most mysterious ingredients. A voluptuous blend of Vanilla and creamy Sandalwood gives this distinguished fragrance an enchanting and tempered soul - Huda's site

Today I'll be taking a closer look at the edition in Kayali's layering collection that I'd been the least interested in trying.

Has it won me over, or should I have left it alone?

EOTD: the Mercury Retrograde palette

Whenever I use this palette I always give in to temptation and reach for at least one pop of colour, so I wanted to do a look that stuck to the more neutral side of things, to show that you can indeed make some lovely toned-down and more conservative looks.

So if you have, or want, the Mercury Retrograde eyeshadow palette and are not sure if it can be a 'everyday' type of palette that can be used as you get ready to go to a office-based job [or similar atmosphere], you can see that it does work and you can hopefully get a bit of inspiration too...

I tried looking to see which planet is currently in retrograde, but couldn't grasp what I was reading 🤷‍♀️ [reviewing the Mercury Retrograde eyeshadow palette, by Huda Beauty]

"I really wanted the colors and the textures of this palette to feel as out of this world and as ethereal as the inspiration for the palette. Crystal AB actually stands for Aurora Borealis, which is another name for the insane Northern Lights display and the reason the crystals were given their name, as the prismatic colors of Crystal AB look just like the famous colorful night sky display. Everything from the glistening pinks and purples and unique teal colors that Crystal AB and the Aurora Borealis are synonymous with are reflected in our multi-dimensional palette" - Huda.

The Mercury Retrograde eyeshadow palette was released in the run-up to Christmas 2019, so I've had plenty of time to familiarize myself - with every shade, in situations ranging from big nights out, everyday work looks, casual free time to clapping for carers...

I enjoy all of her other large palettes, so couldn't wait to see if this one would join them in my most-used-palettes drawer in my dresser, my nice-but-not-used-regularly-enough-to-be-kept-close-at-hand shelf, or my meh-probably-going-to-pass-it-along-to-someone-else plastic tub...

Ready to find out?

Juicy K [reviewing Citrus | 08, by Kayali [Huda Beauty]].

Kayali = Arabic for "my imagination"

A contemporary twist of innovation, CITRUS | 08 subverts olfactory expectations. Sparkling citrus notes of Italian Bergamot and Pink Grapefruit mingle with Rhubarb, Blackcurrant and Pink Pepper. Immaculate floral chords of Rose Centifolia and Rose Damascena from Bulgaria lie at its heart. A lingering veil of Musk, Tonka and mystical Oakmoss grounds the hypnotic scent in nature - Huda's blog.

I really like every Huda Beauty product I have and I'm really into having a nice fragrance collection, so I went into the exploration of the Kayali perfume range with very high expectations and now it's time for me to deliver my opinions...

Are reboots always worse? [reviewing the Rose Gold Remastered eyeshadow palette]·

I had no plans to ever try the Rose Gold Remastered eyeshadow palette, as I had the original Textured Rose Gold palette and disliked it so much that I gave it away without testing it enough for a review on this blog [I got it after learning that it was being discontinued, so didn't think it was worth struggling with just for the sake of a needless blog post] - the formulas of the shadows just didn't play well with my chemistry and hooded eyes.  Plus; re-releasing a limited edition item is kind of a cheat move. Right?

However... Feel Unique had the palette for 35% off over the '19 Black Friday weekend, plus I got another 10% off as Huda Beauty is my 'brand for life' AND I also had just earned a £5 gift voucher in their reward club, so in the end, I just couldn't resist buying it, as it worked out at £27 for me.

So; have the newer formulas improved my negative feelings towards a pretty colour story in the brand's crappy original formulations, or should they and I have both left this palette in the past?

Two palettes, one look: Emerald Obsessions & Ruby Obsessions, by Huda Beauty.

Here's the look I that I'll be recreating for Christmas Day this year (that's if I bother wearing any), as it's a very festive shade combo, that is also a quick & easy placement to do - after all, who wants to spend a lot of time on intricate makeup on Christmas Day, when you could be enjoying time with family + friends instead?

Last-minute Stocking stuffer: Huda Beauty Nude Obsessions Palette in Light.

Introducing 3 universal mini eyeshadow palettes [Nude Light, Nude Medium & Nude Rich]. Each palette features 9 seductive variations of the sexiest nude shades designed to be worn by absolutely everyone. It’s time for you to define nude for yourself!

Created to suit every skin tone and eye color, each palette contains an incredible shade range: From buttery mattes, super-shimmery shadows and complementary metallic shades, all with smooth and blendable textures.

NUDE Light: A beautiful balance of light and creamy praline hues in both warm and cool tones. Featuring peachy shades with unexpected pops of lavender and mauve. The champagne and brown shimmers will add unbelievable dimension to each and every look.

There's no rule that you can only use the palette in the Nude Obsessions collection that has been shade-matched specially for your skintone (though I do have doubts as to if deeper skintones will shine in the mattes here), but as I'm keeping my new purchases down, I'm keeping my focus on the lightest palette in the collection, rather than getting giddy and spurging on all three.

So if you are looking for a eyeshadow palette as a gift for someone [or yourself] in the fair-to-medium range, then keep on reading...

As red as Rudolph's nose [Reviewing the Obsessions Precious Stones Eyeshadow Palette in Ruby, by Huda Beauty].

Definitive proof that the best things do (sometimes) come in smaller packages, Huda Beauty’s Precious Stones Obsessions Palettes are here – and they’re absolutely exquisite! A dream come true for those Huda-holics who can’t squeeze their palettes into overstretched make up bags (or those yet to sample her game-changing shadows) this Ruby Obsessions Palette unites a spectrum of nine pigment-packed powders with duo-chrome and creamy matte textures in rich raspberry, blackcurrant and copper shades for the ultimate feminine lid looks.

Christmas and the party season is right around the corner, so I thought that it'd be the perfect time to check out Huda's red-themed palette - after all we've looked at the green one [which also contains a stunning golden shade], so adding this makes for the ultimate festive colour story...

A bronzed carving; Tantour, by Huda Beauty...

I've been on a bronze kick this year and want to share one of my newer finds today.

I'm not a huge wearer of cream-based face products [not sure why I stick to powder products, since my skintype is dry], so Huda's Tantour bronzing contour cream only caught my eye because I had a voucher for Feel Unique & the brand is my current 10% off 'brand for life'.

Juicy Oranges? The Neon Orange Obsessions eye palette, by Huda Beauty...

The Neon Obsessions collection contains three le eye palettes for summer '19.
Up to now I've reviewed two of them and really enjoyed one palette in this collection, but found the other one skippable, so this one can easily go either way...

Tickled pink? The Neon Pink Obsessions eye palette, by Huda Beauty...

Huda Beauty's 3-piece Neon Obsessions eyeshadows palette collection are LE releases for the summer '19 season, and today we're taking a closer look at the pink option. Pink and purple shades are two of my favourite colour families, so I couldn't wait to dive in...

Lean greens? The Neon Green Obsessions eyeshadow palette, by Huda Beauty...

There are three palettes in Huda's new LE (?) Neon Obsessions 9-pan eyeshadow palette collection; Pink, Orange and Green. I have all three palettes [I was just going to get the Orange & maybe the Pink too, but then the completest in me took the wheel], so it just made sense to review them.

I'm going to start my palette reviews with the one I wasn't going to buy, so we can find out if I made a mistake in giving in and buying it, or if my mistake was in misjudging it in the first place...
