Get three cosmetic products AND donate to charity, all with buying one £5 item?! [looking closer at the I 💗 Revolution x Marie Curie Inspired By Love Heart]

"Revolution Beauty has teamed up with Marie Curie to create 10,000 I Heart Revolution heart-shaped limited-edition highlighters. Our mission is to raise £10,000 for the charity. £1.00 of every purchase (RRP £5.00) goes to Marie Curie. Help us achieve our £10,000 goal. By doing so you’ll help Marie Curie provide hands-on care and emotion support to people living with a terminal illness and allow their loves ones to make the most of the time they have together. Buy a heart for yourself or give a heart to someone else.

I Heart Revolution Inspired By Love Marie Curie Heart is a triple baked highlighter, that will give you the ultimate summer glow. Sweep over your cheekbones, under the brow bone or all over your face for a beautifully radiant finish. Wrapped in gold heart packaging, ideal for placing on your dressing table"

When buying shampoo last week, I saw that I could pick up a multi-use product by my favourite 'drugstore' brand, whilst simultaneously donating to a charity supporting cancer-patients.

No-brainer = I'll have a piece of that...

Go big, or go home: The Carli Bybel Deluxe Edition 21 Color Eyeshadow And Highlighter Palette by BH Cosmetics...

Welcome to part two of my 'perfect for Christmas gift ideas' shuffle through my unreviewed makeup palettes...

As previously mentioned, this year it seems as though big brands have just reused the same product shades over and over for their Christmas beauty launches, just dressing them up in different fancy packaging [eg TooFaced, Tarte & Benefit], and this is where I take a closer look at a great value palette now stocked on a UK site, that may have gotten overlooked in the avalanche of Christmas releases, instead of buying a 'new' festive-release palette.

We ain't painting by numbers here [with the Be Your Own Tarteist eye and cheek palette by Tarte]...

I'm not usually into celebrity/YouTuber collaborations with cosmetic brands when picking out makeup items as I know what colours and formulas I do and don't like, so they don't usually have any sway over me. However I love the Tarte brand and have been using their products for years, and I've seen quite a few of Bunny's [Grav3yardgirl] videos and know that she tends to wear the same kind of makeup I go for in her day-to-day looks, so I was very keen to pick up the Grav3yardgirl/Tarte collaboration palette; Swamp Queen .
Alas; I found that disaster struck when I recieved my order, which arrived a week after I'd placed a Sephora.com order on the minute the collection became available to buy. So now I have a powdery mess, that I barely use as the smashed powders won't repress, so it is just too messy for me to bother with...
But it seems that my habit of leaving the TV in my bedroom on whilst I'm in the bathroom getting ready for bed provided a possible solution a few weeks ago; the Be Your Own Tarteist eye and cheek palette was created for QVC, and I was excited by it as I find the colour selections chosen for it similar to the selections to those in Swamp Queen.
As the Swamp Queen palette proved to be so popular that it sold out everywhere within weeks [the stock numbers were high enough that it was meant to be around for 3/4 months], I wanted everyone else who missed out on it to know about this other option...

FOTD: Supreme remix, with I ❤️ Makeup...

I'll be posting a review for my latest I ❤️ Makeup palette- Makeup Geek - in a few days, so thought that I'd give a little preview of what it can do...

I've posted before about this No7 70's inspired cosmetics poster image from their Decades of Beauty cosmetics range, and how I recreated the eye look using Urban Decay eyeshadows.

Well since I bought the Makeup Geek palette because the colours in it reminded me of ones that I'd find in Urban Decay palettes, I thought I'd have a go at reattempting the eyeshadow look from the No7 campaign and it's look-a-like from my old blog post.

FOTD: Pink Lady

I'm not usually one for doing FOTDs because I...
A) Am not a expert, so don't feel confident telling others what to do
B) Tend to go for simple, uncomplicated looks
B) Like to give my looks an unpolished/incomplete, grungy edge, so it tends to look messy and severe to most people.

However I recently tried a pink/purple semi-permanent hair dye [review coming soon], and when I first did it I felt inspired to put in more then my usual effort with my makeup. Since I'd gone full-on with my hair I did full-on makeup to go with it, with shades of pink on my eyes AND lips.

Then - since I'd already gone OTT - I also added a bold bit of contouring and highlighting, which is not something that I usually do as my skin is so fair that the contouring never looks natural.

FOTD: Dramatic wing

This FOTD is a few months old now, but I'm posting it because I now use the style all the time, day or night, for casual wear and for going out.
