Speedy Review: R.E.M. Cherry Eclipse edp, by Ariana Grande

 Irresistible. Addicting. Dreamy.

R.E.M. Cherry Eclipse is a celebration of the rare and extraordinary, just like an eclipse. Redefine the every day and eclipse the ordinary with Ariana Grande's addicting new fragrance.

I was shocked by how poor the quality of Ariana Grande's last perfume was, so I wasn't interested in or paying attention to any news on whatever fragrance would be next - I just assumed it'd be something else from the Love Notes collection, or another Cloud flanker...

Bam; one of my favourite perfume releases from her range has gotten a flanker. Boom; the flanker is focusing on one of my favourite fruit notes - cherry. So now I'm paying attention to the brand again. Well played Ariana, well played.

Speedy Review; Vanilla Suede edp, by Ariana Grande..

Ariana Grande has launched her new collection of four fragrances called LOVENOTES as a personal endeavor to make scent the ultimate and universal love language. Each edition in this collection represents a love letter from Ariana to a different part of the world, conveying messages of joy, gratitude, and affection.

NThe four releases are Vanilla Suede in the UK, Angels Kiss in Europe, Pink Woods in northern America, and Pressed Petals in Australia.

The bottle design is more adult than the past Ariana Grande fragrances, so fingers crossed for a new approach to the juice.  Vanilla Suede is described as "a richly sensorial fragrance that delivers an incredibly edible and delectable, almost veil-like sensuality. The top teases with sparkling notes, ¡while the heart reveals intimate warmth. The base further enhances the cocooning sensuality and skin-like appeal."

[Music Minute] Eternal Sunshine, by Ariana Grande

Eternal Sunshine is the seventh album by Ariana Grande, which was released in March 2024 through Republic records.

The lead single [Yes, And?] had geat retro urban/pop music, a strong hook and was delivered with a strong & confident attitude, so I was excited for this album as (based on the single) it seems that we're getting a mash-up of the Dangerous Woman & Thank U Next eras.

Dangerous Woman and Thank U Next are my favourite Ariana Grande albums, so I pre-ordered a digital copy of Eternal Sunshine as soon as it became available on Amazon - would the wait & suspense pay off on release aday?

Drifting into a pink haze... [reviewing Cloud Pink edp, by Ariana Grande]

Optimistic. Confident. Uplifting.

Empowering and optimistic the Ariana Grande Cloud Pink fragrance is inspired by an unapologetic confidence that reveals both beauty and strength, no matter the storm.

I know, I know. I've been disappointed by the majority of the Ariana Grande fragrances to varying degrees, but... a new edition of Cloud. I've been sucked back in, as I keep on hoping that they'll capture lightning in a bottle again - after all,  I found Cloud 2.0 to be enjoyable enough for me to have a backup bottle on hand.

Let's just jump straight to the review and see how much of a idiot I am for buying a bottle without having tested it beforehand (people keep on stealing the tester bottles in stores around me) this time, shall we? Or could it possibly be a blind buy that works in my favour?

Is Blush the ace face? [reviewing Mod Blush edp, by Ariana Grande]

Modern. Sensual. Disruptive - introducing Ariana Grande MOD,
                                                the new fragrance collection.

Choose to be an original with MOD, the new fragrance collection from Ariana Grande. A new, elevated collection that celebra4tes both the power of duality and the intoxicating freedom of expression. Innovative and sexy, the new fragrance duo of Mod Vanilla and Mod Blush create an intimate yet powerful experience.

Intoxicating and sensual, MOD Blush opens with a rich blend of fruits, energized by sparkling pink pepper to create an alluring introduction.

The intriguing heart is a luxurious floral blend, accented with a touch of pear for a breathtaking evolution on skin.

A seductive dry down leaves an INTIMATE AND SUPPORTIVE luxurious impression.

As someone who loves vanilla, coconut, orris, and praline, Mod Vanilla was the half of the Mod duo that I had been looking forward to getting the most, but ultimately I was left underwhelmed by just how similar the fragrance is to a couple of previous Ariana Grande fragrance releases.

I couldn't find the Mod perfumes in any shops around me to test them, so I ended up buying them blind when the Superdrug site had a price offer on, and Mod Vanilla left me kicking myself for not waiting to test before buying [to be fair to me, Mod Vanilla is still not available in any stores near me].

Here's hoping that Mod Blush can make up for Mod Vanilla, and make me feel that I haven't totally wasted my money...

Indulgent And Upcycled Cocoa Butter Introduce A Layer Of Beautiful Complexity, Unveiling The Fragrance's Addictive And Unforgettable Signature.

After the delight of Cloud 2.0, I've been looking forward to the next Ariana Grande perfume release and here we are, with not one but two.

I'm going to start my reviews with the one that is proving to be the most popular, going by empty store displays and the amount of customer reviews everywhere - Mod Vanila.

I've already fallen for the anathetics for the Mod duo, but will the actual fragrances live up to the expectation that this has given me?

Take it to the clouds above... [reviewing Cloud 2.0 INTENSE edp, by Ariana Grande]

Enhanced. Addictive. Dreamy.
Cloud 2.0 INTENSE fragrance will leave you in awe and dreaming of what is yet to come...

"Ariana Grande CLOUD 2.0 is an amplified mix of lavender, juicy pear, and mouthwatering bergamot. Creamy musk and blonde woods evoke a cashmere-like skin sensual allure making this fragrance undeniably irresistible."

I really enjoy Cloud edp and think that it is undoubtedly the best fragrance release under Ariana Grande’s name, but the longevity and aura for it are still disappointing, if I'm honest. So when I saw that she had released a intense edition of Cloud in America last year, I was really excited and waited in anticipation...

And waited and waited. The delays between when God Is A Woman and Thank U Next 2.0 where released there and here where so long, that I had begun to think that Cloud 2.0 INTENSE wasn't going to receive a UK release at all.

Then I was cutting through Boots last week and... Bingo. Needless to say,  but I immediately bought a bottle and shoved the other two reviews I'm writing aside, to get this review out ASAP.

Let's get to the good stuff...

The next Thank U Next... [reviewing Thank U Next 2.0 edp, by Ariana Grande]

 Unapologetic. Playful. Optimistic.
Introducing Thank U, Next 2.0 by Ariana Grande

"A juicy new fragrance for the NEXT chapter in your life.

Ariana Grande’s addicting new  fragrance, Thank U, Next 2.0, opens with mouth-watering fruit, which lures you in for a playful delight. The creamy floral in the heart introduces a flirty yet elevated touch, while the dry down leaves an unforgettable impression."

A little while ago, I had a Superdrug gift card and when I couldn't find anything else that I wanted/needed, I decided to give the latest Ariana Grande fragrance release a shot. I know, I know. Most of the releases under her name have underwhelmed me, but one never knows when another gem like Cloud or R E.M. will pop up.

Let's get ready to explore the layers of Thank U Next 2.0...

A Godly perfume?!... [Reviewing God is a Woman edp, by Ariana Grande].

"Empowered. Breathtaking. Natural. A breath of fresh air for the senses."

"Ariana Grande’s striking new fragrance, God is a Woman, is inspired by the grand power of nature. A breath of fresh air for the senses and composed of 91% naturally derived ingredients, the fragrance is vegan, clean, and cruelty-free. This addicting, new scent will envelop you from head to toe"

I have a love/hate thing with the Ariana Grande line of perfumes going on, as whilst her actual fragrances can be nice, the longevity & Aura haven't tended been anything to particularly praise.

I didn't even bother to try GIAW as the unappealing name and ugly presentation are very off-putting for me, however I happened to recieve a bottle as a pre- Christmas gift, so here we are with another review for her brand...

[Music Minute] Positions, by Ariana Grande.

Positions is the sixth studio album by American singer Ariana Grande, released on October 30, 2020, by Republic Records [following Yours Truly, My Everything, Dangerous Woman, Sweetener & Thank U, Next].

The singer worked with a variety of producers on the album, including Tommy BrownAnthony M. JonesLondon on da TrackMurda BeatzThe RascalsScott StorchShea Taylor and Charles Anderson.

I have every Ariana album and, spoiler alert, think that this is the weakest one that she has released to date.

I wish I'd listened to the tracks on her YouTube channel first, because then I wouldn't have bothered buying the album and would have saved myself some money. It's my own fault really, as I didn't really like the lead single [positions] that much, but I dismissed it as a one off miss and still rushed to download the album anyway...

Out of this world? [reviewing R.E.M. edp, by Ariana grande]

"In my dreams... I'm always the version of myself I was in Break Free tbh. I always wanted to spend more time as this character/in this world... so maybe that's just what I'll do. So much to look forward to" - Ariana Grande

"R.E.M. is a scent designed to extend the boundaries of your universe"

R.E.M. is limitless, aiming to give you the power and courage to dream more. Inspired by Ariana’s love for space and the universe, the new online will make us feel as if we could conquer the entire galaxy.

Break Free is one of my favourite Ariana songs, so the visuals for the marketing,  packaging & bottle of R.E.M. hooked me immediately and I stalked uk retailers online, but ended up finding a few 50ml bottles in my local Boots store early, without any testers.

Having learnt my lesson from past impulsive Ariana Grande fragrances, I  decided to wait until the official release I was all over that s$#t and purchased a bottle (I returned to the store the very next day and the bottles had been removed again), because I haven't learned.

Have I made another mistake, or has the Ariana Grande line of fragrances gotten fully out of the pom-pom era groove?

So f***ing grateful?! Thank U, Next edp, by Ariana Grande.

Optimistically outspoken. Playful yet cool. Introducing Thank U, Next Eau de Parfum by Ariana Grande. The ultimate fragrance for moving on and looking up.

I was quite surprised to see the newest Ariana Grande perfume when I was aimlessly wandering around Boots recently - Thank  U Next has just been released in America and usually we have to wait another several months after that for her perfumes to then get a UK release.

Her previous perfume release (Cloud) surprised me by how much I still enjoy it [I even wore it fora wedding], and seeing how similar the bottle set up for the new release is to it, filled me with enough confidence to buy a bottle immediately, as I took it as a sign that they're going to follow the trend they started with cloud

There wasn't a tester for  Thank U Next out, so I just bought it without even trying it once beforehand. Will that turn out to be a stupid mistake,  or have I got lucky?

Head in the Cloud edp? [reviewing the new Ariana Grande fragrance]...

I'd been keeping an eye open for the UK release of Cloud, ever since it deputed in the US last August. It stared appearing in a store-by-store staggered scale over here in mid January, and it is now widely available in all stores/sites that sell Ariana Grande fragrances (eg Boots, Superdrug, The Perfume Store, The Fragrance Shop), so I thought that now would be a good time to review it, as it'll be easy to find an in-store tester to see if it agrees with you.

The Superdrug site was the first place I saw Cloud back in January &
I picked up a bottle then and began wearing it straight away, and now two months later I'm ready to share my final opinions. I was underwhelmed by all of the brand's other release, so will this be another generic offering or does the new bottle design signal a new fragrance approach?

Dancing in the... Moonlight [edp by Ariana Grande]...

"This new fragrance captures the artist’s luminescent personality and the special relationship Ariana has with her fans. It was created to inspire confidence to be yourself and carries the strong message of being a positive light to those around you"

I used to be interested in Ariana's perfumes out of a general curiosity, but now as someone who lives in Greater Manchester and was injured in the  Manchester Arena explosion last year, I've developed a new respect for her after she visited bereaved relatives and the seriously injured, plus had a big part in organizing and headlined the #OneLoveManchester concert to benefit the families of the deceased and help the injured in their treatment, recovery and  adjust to their new lives.
So yeah; I've become a fan of her music [we were only at the concert in my brother's memory, as he had been a fan] and I really want to be able to be able to say that I fully enjoy at least one of her perfumes too, so I picked up Moonlight as soon as it was released in the UK, in order to really be able to give it a chance to impress me.

Speedy Review: Sweet Like Candy Limited Edition by Ariana Grande...

I read an article in a paper that mentions that Sweet Like Candy is currently the third (or maybe it was the second?) best-selling celebrity-branded perfume in the UK, so a new flanker for it was inevitable, and here we are now...

I found the original Sweet Like Candy pleasant but unmemorable, so I was therefore keen to test the limited edition version to see if it had been improved on (I admit to wanting to like it as I love the bottle). After finding the limited edition variant in Boots [it's not on the website, but is in stores now] and multiple tests, my verdict is in...

Speedy Review; Sweet Like Candy edp by Ariana Grande...

SWEET LIKE CANDY by Ariana Grande the seductive irresistible scent A luscious burst of sugar-frosted blackberry and juicy Italian bergamot sparkles with sweet addiction, while creamy cashmere woods will keep you coming back for more.  The final wink is sure to delight with velvety layers of crème de cassis & fluffy marshmallow blended together to leave a head turning, alluring trail.
I wasn't very impressed with Ari (my sister wears it and it smells amazing on her, but it doesn't play well with my body chemistry), but now Ariana Grande has a new perfume... Of course I had to go to Boots a few times to try it out, to see if plays well on me.

I've tested it in-store multiple times now, to determine if this will be another frustrating failure, or a surprising win.

Truly yours? [reviewing Ari edp, by Ariana Grande]

ARI by Ariana Grande is a genuine and intimate statement by Grande through scent, embodying her unique character and style. Hints of unexpected playfulness appear throughout the fragrance story, reminding fans to embrace their flaws and celebrate their differences. Playful, timeless and confident, the luscious fragrance which is a Floral Fruity Gourmand opens with sparkling fruits and an ultra-feminine floral, passionately spun with musk’s, woods, and an addictive hint of marshmallow...

Ari is a perfume that I've come to recognise on other people pretty well, as it has quickly become popular. Now my sister, who normally 'needs' her perfume bottles to have designer names on, has been wearing it every time I see her lately and it smells amazing on her. Therefore I reasoned that if my sister can pull it off, then so can I. Right???
Has my impulsive purchase of a bottle when it was on a price offer fully won me over, or will the bottle just be a pretty decorative piece to brighten up my dresser?
