No limits here... [reviewing LIMITLESS edp, by Jennifer Lopez]

Embrace your power, live without limits, and let the world see the unstoppable force that is you.

#IAMLIMITLESS

Live your most LIMITLESS life with the exceptional new fragrance by Jennifer Lopez.

LIMITLESS eau de parfum is a celebration of strength and sensuality, created using ingredients proven to promote self-esteem and confidence. It is a fearless and captivating signature scent that leaves an unforgettable, powerful trail. Notes of Red Apple, Jasmine and Palo Santo combine to create a luxurious and rich signature scent.

I enjoy apple and jasmine in fragrances, but it was learning that LIMITLESS contains Palo Santo that encouraged me to check out Jennifer Lopez's latest perfume release because the other perfume I own which contains it [Kayali LOVEFEST] is a fragrance that I really enjoy - especially during the autumn and winter months as it is smoky on me, with a citrussy bite.

I don't think that Palo Santo is generally described as being smoky by most people, so I don't know if it's a body chemistry thing, or LOVEFEST used a subtle accord to boost their Palo Santo and I'm barking up the wrong tree here.

Lets find out...

Future chart topper? [reviewing One edp, by Jennifer Lopez]

"ONE is a feeling, an energy, a way of being that reflects harmony and brings peace. ONE is internal and eternal. It is not limited, but it is expansive, vulnerable, powerful. Today our world needs ONE-ness, realizing we are ONE world and ONE people. Living for ONE shared hope, ONE bigger meaning and purpose. ONE goal. ONE dream. Connected, not separate, we are ONE "

When I first saw One in a Superdrug store, there hadn't been any online whispering of a new fragrance release from the brand, yet there it was calling to me. The packaging & promo photo of Jennifer give One away as a flanker to Promise, which is a fragrance which I highly enjoyed and think is one of her stronger releases.
As I liked it on initial testing and it was on a introductory price offer & I have a store discount, plus would get a free Promise scented candle (the store I was in didn't have the backpacks that were on offer free with a purchase of One), I couldn't resist giving One a chance to impress me...

The Glow must go on... [reviewing Enduring Glow edt, by Jennifer Lopez].

Developed using some of Jennifer Lopez’s favourite ingredients, Enduring Glow is an eau de parfum that invigorates the mind

Shine bright, always with Enduring Glow. An enticing new fragrance that embodies the everlasting glow of Jennifer Lopez’s timeless success. Delicate, vibrant and spirited, ENDURING GLOW is a fragrance that captures the gleam of a woman in her best light, the undeniable presence in the room.

I've not paid any attention to the Glow range of fragrances for a few years, but I was recently gifted a bottle of the most recent Glow
flanker, which reminded me that this range is still around and still selling well.

Has the line still got any spark left, or will I be soon be forgetting that the line is a thing that still exists?

What’s your Promise? [Reviewing Promise edp, by Jennifer Lopez]

We all make promises to ourselves and one another, they are meant to be forever’ Introducing PROMISE the new fragrance by Jennifer Lopez. Promise embodies everything she  stands for today, it’s the essence of a multifaceted and powerful woman. Jennifer invites us to make our own promises, to be better every day, no matter what stands in our way.
What’s your Promise?
I haven't paid much attention to the Jennifer Lopez line of perfumes for around four years or so now, as it seemed liked they stopped getting regular UK releases for a long while.  So it was pure chance that I noticed Promise in Boots recently and took another blind-buy gamble, since two stores I went to said that testers aren't yet available...

I lost the gamble last time, so will this one be a failure too?

The new sexy/fresh/clean: Eau De Glow edt by Jennifer Lopez...

Today we're looking at the second of the newer Glow fragrances I bought a little while ago; this one is the flanker that I was really keen to try since ever since I first heard about it's launch. Eau De Glow was released back in spring 2012, but it only became available on UK sites for Brits to be able to buy within the past year. I've not seen it in any physical UK stores, so buying it online is our only option.

Eau De Glow is a updated version of the original Glow Perfume from 2002 - the debut fragrance by singer/actress Jennifer Lopez. It is described by Coty as being "dedicated to and inspired by spring flowers, which spread an aura of delicate freshness, refinement and sophistication".

I'm a bit bored of Jennifer's Glow offerings now, so how well will this edition of Glow fare? Will it manage to live up to my three years worth of expectations?

Party on with Rio Glow edt by Jennifer Lopez...

Since I tried Wild Glow, and rediscovered Miami Glow in the new year, I had a closer look at the other releases in Jennifer Lopez's Glow collection. Therefore today is my first of two reviews for two of her newer Glow flankers.

Rio Glow was first released in summer 2013 in 100ml bottles exclusively in Brazil, but has now spread to American stores - and UK shopping sites.
Coty describes Rio Glow as a "bright fruity/floral that projects the passion, enjoyment and positivity that symbolize Brazil".

Welcome to Miami (Glow)... EDT by Jennifer Lopez.

Miami Glow was released in 2004 and I thought that it was a limited edition, but it is still easy to buy online from sites like Amazon cheaply today (my latest 30ml bottle I bought last week was only £10.99 there), plus every now and then a batch shows up in my local Boots, Superdrug, and Home & Bargain stores too.

I don't know if this means that it proved so popular that Coty decided to make it a permanent edition to Jennifer Lopez's perfume line, or it was so unpopular that everywhere still has tons of backed up stock to get rid off. Either way I thought I would share my thoughts on this sunny version of the original Glow...

First impressions; Wild Glow edt by Jennifer Lopez...

Jennifer Lopez has just launched her new limited edition fragrance Wild Glow, which is inspired by the upbeat rhythm of music pulsing through the crowd and bright lights that represent joy of life. It is described as a floral-fruity composition that pulsates with energy.
Wild and energetic, Wild Glow celebrates freedom, beauty and happiness. It opens with a fruity blend of mandarin, black currant and tropical fruits. The floral heart of star jasmine, heliotrope and lily of the valley is laid on the base of sandalwood, musk and vanilla...

Let there be (love and) light: Love & Light edp by Jennifer Lopez...

"With Love & Light, I wanted to create a fragrance that was less about the world around you and more about your inner light and your spirit. It's about how you feel inside, it's not about your outside world" - Jennifer Lopez

Love & Glamour had promise, but I think that the very strong note of sandalwood in it let it down, as it overwhelmed the other scent notes. So I was excited to try the new flanker - Love & Light - to see if  the issue has been smoothed over this time...

Fit for a snow queen; Live Platinum edp by Jennifer Lopez...

Spoiler alert: I think that LIVE PLATINUM has the edge over the original Live fragrance, as - though it is quite similar to it - this is less harsh and is easier to wear. I still really like the spiciness of the original, but the contrasts in this wintery cool edition appeals to me more...

It's a shame this is a limited edition and didn't seem to get a regular Uk release; I wish I'd bought more bottles for backups when I saw it in the US a few years ago, as it has already become very hard to find, so I save my bottle for special occasions. I'll have to haunt Ebay for it in the not-too-distant future...

Prime time for some glam time: Love & Glamour EDP, by Jennifer Lopez.

Actress/singer Jennifer Lopez was one of the first celebrities to release her own fragrance and she had a fashion range - J.Lo - going at the time, so to be fair, releasing a fragrance to go with it did make sense.

Lets tick off her perfume releases so far; the first was Glow and it's millions of limited edition flankers [a slight exaggeration; I think there has been seven so far], Still [I think was her nicest fragrance to date  - I might buy another bottle for a review one day], Live and it's two limited flankers [Live Luxe and Live Platinum], Deseo, Deseo for Men, Deseo Forever [Asian market exclusive] and now there is LOVE & GLAMOUR...

Music review: Love? by Jennifer Lopez...

Rating:
Advantages: Mix of musical styles, summery music, nice artwork
Disadvantages: No more strong single contenders, she's playing it too safe.

LOVE? is the seventh studio album by singer/actress Jennifer Lopez. Work began on the album during the pregnancy of her twins, but the lack of success with her previous three albums lead to Epic Records [part of Sony] testing the waters with two U.S. single releases [Louboutins and Fresh Out The Oven] for a gauge as to the size of her fanbase. The singles were huge flops and failed to receive radio play, so LOVE? was shelved and Epic dropped her - err, I mean they mutually parted ways with her, after briefly starting work on a Greatest Hits album.

Luckily for Jennifer Island [part of Def Jam] decided to take a chance on her and hired L.A. Reid and RedOne as executive producers and charged them with sourcing new material to update the album before release. Individual track producers of the finished product include Mike Caren, D'Mile, Danja, The-Dream, Lady Gaga, StarGate and Tricky Stewart.

Jennifer has said in loads of interviews over the years that she doesn't like being referred to as J.Lo any more as that was just a character, but lo and behold - J.Lo is back. Literally back, J.Lo is stamped on the album and single covers instead of her name. A glance in the booklet is the same old checklist; fur coat? Check. Bling? Check. Barely there clothing? Check. Shades? Check. So with the artwork being blasts from the past the question becomes, will the actual album be a look back over her back catalogue too?
