Sweet dreams are made of... the Dream With A Vision eye palette, by Makeup Obsession.

"Do you dream in colour? The Makeup Obsession Dream With A Vision shadow palette will have you on cloud 9.
Let your imagination run wild with this whimsical mix of pretty pigmented pastels and bold brights. 16 shades, including 9 smooth mattes and 7 buttery shimmers to create as many looks as you can dream up!"

Makeup Obsession's Dream With A Vision palette is the palette I bought because some of the shades seemed really close to ones in KvD Beauty's much lusted after Pastel Goth eyeshadow palette [the results of that are here], and now I've been using it numerous times since then and now confident enough for a complete review.

So; has Dream With A Vision been, err, a dream or a nightmare?

Are they dupes? Kat Von D Beauty Pastel Goth vs Makeup Obsession Dream With A Vision...

Kat Von D's Pastel Goth was released sometime early in 2017 (January?) and sold out in about a fortnight, leaving lots of people disappointed that they didn't get the chance to buy it and I was flicking through Instagram the other week and saw that someone was yet again asking about a possible re-release of Pastel Goth underneath a KvD Beauty post, so seeing that the need & want for grungy pastel shades is still alive and kicking inspired me to keep an eye out for an eyeshadow palette that offers affordable and easy-to-find alternatives. That [admittedly short] search has lead to today's post...

In the store some of the shades in the Obsession's new Dream With A Vision palette seemed really close to most of the ones in Pastel Goth to my eyes, so I bought it so that I could compare it next to Pastel Goth and see just how close the shades in the palettes really are.

Revolution Beauty's alias is Makeup Obsession... And they've joined the collaboration game too [reviewing the x Belle Jorden eyeshadow palette].

"Obsession have teamed up with beauty vlogger Belle Jorden to create a must-have eyeshadow palette and lip gloss collection. Known for her girly but edgy makeup looks, cute tattoos and strident cruelty-free stance, Belle has hand-picked every shade to create the ultimate go-to collection.

The Obsession x Belle Jorden Eyeshadow Palette features 16 stunning in a versatile mix of hues that you’ll use every single day. Based around warm toned neutrals, this palette features seven matte shades, six shimmer shades and two matte shades infused with golden glitter flecks"

Obsession Beauty [aka Makeup Obsession] is a Boots-exclusive brand, that I never really paid much attention to before their image revamp and  this launch late last year; I saw the Belle Jorden palette on the Revolution Beauty Instagram page, which is when I realized that Obsession is actually part of the Revolution umbrella, like I 💓 Revolution and Revolution Pro.

I'd never heard of Belle Jorden before [no offence to her - I'm 35 & focus on people my age and above on YouTube], but as I enjoy Revolution's products I figured that I'd probably enjoy these too, so when Boots had a 3-for-2 offer on cosmetics in the new year, I picked this palette up.

Lets find out if Obsession can hold it's own against parent-company Revolution...
