EOTD: The Norvina palette, by Anastasia Beverly Hills.

I thought I'd keep things real on the blog, by sharing a recent look that didn't really work out. Having clear photos of it available does help me see where I went wrong, so it's a good idea to post things like this for future reference...

I went to the live concert that is part of Manchester's Pride Festival weekend and decided to try to recreate the 'reverse smokey eye look' I'd just watched YouTuber BeautBean do, as it looked quick n easy, yet impactful on her - because recreating a look without having ever attempting the technique before, is a recipe for success.

Sigh...

3 palettes, 1 look: Kat Von D, Too Faced and Huda Beauty...

Just writing a quick post to share links to three eyeshadow palette reviews I wrote for Makeup Alley, but haven't had the time to redo & take photos for, to give them justice for a blog review.

As two of the palettes are limited edition, I'm running out of time to find a spare hour or two to sit down and do everything needed for a decent dedicated review for each palette, so I want to give you a heads up on what is available and share a look I did over the weekend using all three of my fairly recent purchases...

FOTD: Supreme remix, with I ❤️ Makeup...

I'll be posting a review for my latest I ❤️ Makeup palette- Makeup Geek - in a few days, so thought that I'd give a little preview of what it can do...

I've posted before about this No7 70's inspired cosmetics poster image from their Decades of Beauty cosmetics range, and how I recreated the eye look using Urban Decay eyeshadows.

Well since I bought the Makeup Geek palette because the colours in it reminded me of ones that I'd find in Urban Decay palettes, I thought I'd have a go at reattempting the eyeshadow look from the No7 campaign and it's look-a-like from my old blog post.

X Appeal; reimagining the Scully look...

1.18 Miracle Man

There's no real reason for this post; I've just finished rewatching my first season boxset of The X Files and am feeling Dana Scully's 90s makeup, and my favourite is the 60s-collides-with-the-90s matte look her character wore regularly in the second half of season one.

I bought the I ❤️ Chocolate palette by I ❤️ Makeup recently and used Scully's 60s/90s mashup look as inspiration for one of the demo EOTD photos that will be featured with my near-future review of the  I ❤️ Chocolate eyeshadow palette. I loved the look I did and have been rewearing it a lot, so I felt like posting it here.

I guess that you can consider this post as a I ❤️ Chocolate palette teaser...

EOTD: Supreme

After having a whole head of blonde highlights I decided to lay off the eyeliner and try a softer, more feminine approach to my make-up to match my lighter hair. This look was inspired by Boots 'No 7 Decades Collection; Supreme Seventies' print ads for their recent limited edition make-up collection.
