A Closer look at fantasy notes... [reviewing Attraction Closer edp, by Avon]

It’s time to let your body do the talking and let the rhythm pull you closer...

An oriental gourmand perfume with an irresistible skin-to-skin accord that’s like a delicate caress to your senses.

Spritz on Attraction Closer for Her Eau de Parfum and lose yourself in the moment when two souls move together in perfect sync, hearts beat together, and bodies move in harmony.

Inspired by the passion, allure and magnetism of a sensual dance - this oriental gourmand ballet of scents features a skin-to-skin accord of creamy woods, velvet musks and sweet ambers that captures the warmth of physical touch.

It’s also got notes of juicy pear and delectable honey nectar that sets the stage for seduction.

I recently tried one of the Attraction perfumes from Avon & really enjoyed it [Attraction Intense], so I wanted to invest in more from the line and have been reading up on each one.

There's not one, but four fantasy scent notes in the juice for the new Attraction flanker; Osmasylk Natsublim is described as spicy with a hint of clean skin, Georgywood as woody & clean, and I can't find a reliable description for the other two notes.

the lack of information on the fantasy notes left me intrigued enough to decide to continue my exploration into the Attraction fragrance line here...

I really enjoy apple in my fragrances, so Attration Closer pulls me in immediately; honey-dipped apple & pear, accompanied with a squeeze of mandarin. Sweet and almost fizzy with a fresh energy.

The florals in the mix are very well-balanced, so I struggle to seperate anything other than the listed tuberose out individually; I'm thinking something fruity like freesia, maybe ylang-ylang, and possibly a vanilla orchid accord.

The honeyed fruit & tonka bean over a woody base brings wine to mind & I swear I can detect a note of Prosecco - result of my imagination, or one of the 4 fantasy accords in the fragrance. The sense of warmth and softness does bring skin to mind as the fragrance dries down  - I can't name a scent, it's more of a feeling.

Officially listed scent notes: Crisp Apple, Juicy Pear, Mandarin Juice, Natsource Orpur, Tuberose, Osmasylk Natsublim, Honey Nectar, Skin-to-Skin Accord, Georgywood, Tonka Beans, and Venezuela Orpur.

The longevity is fantastic for the price; I'll still detect it over 8 hours after application, so I'm really happy with the performance. The projection is soft, but not as close to the skin as the name & description lead me to expect. I'd say that Attraction Closer is suitable all year around, day and night.

Both of the Attraction fragrances I've tried so far have been very enjoyable, but between this and Attraction Intense, I'd go for this if I could only choose one - not that I regret getting Attraction Intense now. I'm looking forward to trying more fragrances from the Attraction line, based on how enjoyable Intense & Closer have been.

You can buy Attraction Closer from the Avon website, Avon catalogues, Amazon, and some Superdrug stores also stock it.

The 50ml bottle is £16, the 125ml scented lotion tube is £4, and the 10ml perfume pen is £7.
