Fire & nice... [reviewing Attraction Intense edp, by Avon]

 Ignite temptation

Be irresistible: that's the aim behind our Attraction fragrance range, a collection of perfumes with subtly spiced scents and fragrance notes that aim to please.

Feel the intensity of attraction with the woody, fruity and amber fragrance of Attraction Intense for Her Eau de Parfum. Deepen your attraction with forbidden ginger essence, captivating florals and tantalising coconut essence.

Browsing through the same catalogue that introduced me to Far Away Shine, I came across the information that Attraction Intense has key notes of ginger & coconut and I immediately had to know how Avon managed to partner such an odd sounding pair together. The spicy heat from the ginger, joining with smooth & calm coconut sounds to me to be a pairing that just won't mesh well.

I'd never really paid much attention to the Attraction line of fragrances before, always skipping to the Far Away and Eve collections. However that could change, depending on how well this impulsive purchase works for me...

Attraction Intense opens with sugar-coated ginger; the star of the show, accompanied with creamy coconut. IMO it sounds like the notes will clash, but the ginger being sugar-dusted & the coconut being extra creamy makes the notes come together smoothly - the gentle powdered sugar and the cream mesh together really well.

The florals seem similar to the ones in Far Away Shine on me; gardenia and rose are the strongest, wrapped in fruity vanilla. The berry & pear blend is subtle behind the gardenia & longwearing candied ginger, but I can just about detect musk and orange blossom behind everything else going on.

Traces of the coconut cream are easy to seperate for the entire wear, but it becomes more intense during the drydown as the praline, styrax and sandalwood develops, and everything mixes with the remaining candied ginger & fruity vanilla blend.

Officially listed scent notes: Candied Ginger, Pear, Blackberry, Musk, Gardenia, Black Orchid, Praline, Coconut and Styrax.

The longevity & projection is just as good as the majority of the Far Away line; up to 8 hours of longevity & moderate projection, which is fantastic for such an affordable juice. The scent notes will work for every season.

Attraction Intense surprised me with how well the key notes [ginger, coconut & gardenia] combine - such a great selection of supporting scent notes to help them flow well together. Such a smooth & sweet-yet-energetic fragrance, that I highly recommend trying out ASAP.

You can buy Attraction Intense from the Avon website, Avon catalogues and some Superdrug stores also stock it.

The 50ml bottle is only £16, the 125ml scented lotion tube is £4, and the 10ml perfume pen is £7. Sometimes they also sell a 100ml for £28.
