Enhanced. Addictive. Dreamy.
Cloud 2.0 INTENSE fragrance will leave you in awe and dreaming of what is yet to come...
"Ariana Grande CLOUD 2.0 is an amplified mix of lavender, juicy pear, and mouthwatering bergamot. Creamy musk and blonde woods evoke a cashmere-like skin sensual allure making this fragrance undeniably irresistible."
I really enjoy Cloud edp and think that it is undoubtedly the best fragrance release under Ariana Grande’s name, but the longevity and aura for it are still disappointing, if I'm honest. So when I saw that she had released a intense edition of Cloud in America last year, I was really excited and waited in anticipation...
And waited and waited. The delays between when God Is A Woman and Thank U Next 2.0 where released there and here where so long, that I had begun to think that Cloud 2.0 INTENSE wasn't going to receive a UK release at all.
Then I was cutting through Boots last week and... Bingo. Needless to say, but I immediately bought a bottle and shoved the other two reviews I'm writing aside, to get this review out ASAP.
Let's get to the good stuff...
To me the scent notes of bergamot, coconut cream, and praline in Cloud are very reminiscent of those deluxe Sicilian cream-filled chocolates you used to get from Thorntons. Before long these long scent notes are accompanied by a gentle breeze of sweet floral notes - I get the vanilla-drenched orchid and a hint of jasmine & rose. Plus; maybe a touch of neroli alongside the listed lavender, to add to the sharp freshness to the undertone that develops around the same time.
I don't pick up on many major changes between the heart and base of the perfume as the bergamot, coconut cream, praline, and lavender notes are all very long & distinct. I do notice subtle amber-infused woods in the background, and something that seems like sea salt as the fragrance begins to dry down - sharp musk mixing with the lavender?
Official key scent notes: Lavender blossom, pear, bergamot, crème de coconut, praline, vanilla orchid, sensual musks, blonde woods, cashmeran, and ambrox.
Cloud 2.0 INTENSE is sold in Boots, Superdrug, The Perfume Store, and The Fragrance Shop in 100ml bottles. It is £50 per bottle - just £3 more than the RRP of £47 for a 100ml bottle of the original Cloud.

The cashmeran and ambrox are the only new scent notes listed in this new, intense edition of Cloud. Makes sense, because I think that the actual fragrance is largely the same as the original Cloud, even though most people that have tried it think that it is very different.
Cloud 2.0 is a bit creamier and the lavender is sharper, but on me those are the only two big differences in scent. Possibly a touch more of a woody blend in the base too - but the richer creaminess from the coconut cream could just be confusing me into imagining added sandalwood. The major differences overall are with the improved longevity and aura; Cloud Intense wears several hours longer than the original Cloud does [the 8 to 10 hour range], and it doesn't go close to the skin like the original does. Well worth paying slightly more for imo.
