Addictive & Empowering
Power with a luminous smile, Sweet Dream is the scent that lifts your mood and calms your mind all at once. A playful blend of soft sweetness and gentle glow that feels as good as it smells, bright notes bring an instant boost of positivity, while a creamy comforting base wraps you in calm.
It’s relaxation with a sparkle - cozy, confident, and completely feel-good energy in fragrance form.
Today we're completing my reviews for each fragrance in the new GHOST mood-boosting Dream trio collection. Sweet Dream interested me the most because I couldn't find much reliable information on the scent notes initially, so I wasn't sure what to expect beyond the fragrance being 'something sweet' containing strawberry and marshmallow.
Let's take a dip...
One of the few scent notes that I knew would be in Sweet Dream was the strawberry, but initially the thing that grabs my attention is actually the sweet orange and cassis which will both calm down pretty quickly, yet they'll still be essential for keeping the emerging, longwearing sugared strawberry & marshmallow combination from becoming overwhelming as the fragrance continues to develop.
When it comes to the floral heart the jammy strawberry-lead berry blend becomes the focus, so I'm only confident about the listed two as ones I can separate - the jasmine and peony, like the other two fragrances in this collection. I will guess at orange blossom and freesia in the undertone. There are wafts of something caramelised happening as the marshmallow, almond milk and amber combine, over a bed of cashmeran and cedarwood.
Sweet Dream has the best weartime for this collection; the longevity is somewhere within the 6/7 hour range, and the projection is somewhere between soft and moderate, although Sweet Dream is notable for not being quite as soft as the other two fragrances, and for sticking around a bit longer. Nothing truly special going on, but still good for such an affordable edp.
Officially listed scent notes: Strawberry Jam, Sweet Orange Oil, Cassis, Jasmine Sambac, Peony, Almond Milk, Marshmallow, Amber Xtreme, and Cashmeran.
I'm not sure if I want to rank Sweet Dream in first or second place as my personal favourite in this new trio - oh what the heck, yes, it is my favourite. I think it will be good to wear all year round, and it performs the best out of the three new releases in this collection.
I'll be almost certain to buy a backup for Sweet Dream while it is still available (I believe that this trio is limited edition).
Lazy Dream is available at The Fragrance Store and Debenhams for £25.
