The 60ml bottle of Alien Hypersense eau de parfum is just £48.50 in Boots [usually £97], and i just couldn't pass it by with such a huge saving - i highly rate alien and alien goddess, so I blindly bought it in the hope that it will be another winner. Now that I've had a week to familiarise myself with it, I'm comfortable enough to share my thoughts on it publicly, so that others can decide if they should take advantage of the price offer or skip it...

As well as the listed fruit notes, I'm sure that i pick up on some melon & sometimes a hint of coconut too in the opening for hypersense. Everything is wrapped up in vanilla, so whilst the opening is fresh & radiant, it is also creamy and comfortable. 

as the citrussy zing fades, the vanilla-wrapped pear & melon carries through to the jasmine heart of the fragrance. Out of the 3 versions of alien i have hypersense is the least intense when it comes to the jasmine, but that is still the only clear floral note present; I'm pretty sure that there is orange blossom and heliotrope in the background, but the jasmine and vanilla encased fruit are the clear stars. 

The musk, cashmeran and amberwood gradually merges with the heart notes, boosting up the sweetness and creaminess. However the subtle roughness of the driftwood acts as a anchor to everything going on, preventing the sweeter notes from becoming overbearing.

As alien hypersense is a lighter edition of alien it doesn't have the amazing longevity and projection that alien does, instead coming in alongside alien Goddess; I'm getting around 6/8 hours average of weartime, and the projection is soft but not too close to the skin compared to many other 'soft projection' fragrances. 

In a nutshell; Hypersense is like if Alien and alien Goddess had a baby. We get creamy/fresh fruit, lots of intoxicating jasmine & cashmeran, on a rich bed of ambery wood. I really do enjoy hypersense more than I thought that i would going off some of the reviews for it. It's not something totally new, but the balance between the different facets is excellent. I'm really happy with my purchase and think that this is more widely appealing to people [if you're wondering which edition of alien to buy as a Christmas gift for someone].
