NOTD: Belle of the Ball, by Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure...

Today we'll be looking at something from Sally Hansen; my favourite pharmacy [drugstore] level price-point polish brand. I try to keep my NOTD posts focused on polishes that are easier to find, so I picked the shade Belle of the Ball for today, as it's easy to get AND is fitting for the festive season - a lovely option for a stocking stuffer...

NOTD: Something's Brewing by China Glaze [with Earl Gray by Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure]...

I thought that I'd save the most Halloweeny polish in the Ghouls Night Out collection for my final post on China Glaze's Halloween 2015 range...

I found one!! My Sally Hansen Pacific Blue dupe by Miss Cop...

Flash              No flash

In America and Canada you can still find bottles of the original Pacific Blue at the back of store displays, but as Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear line isn't officially sold in UK stores* us Brits can't rummage through store displays to try to find any remaining bottles of the older polish hiding amongst the newer ones.
*sometimes the odd bottle of Xtreme Wear turns up in Pound World & Pound Land.

As much as I love it I haven't been wearing my bottle of Pacific Blue as I don't want to use it up, so I'm always on the look out for a dupe that us Brits can buy so that I can feel free to wear my beloved colour whenever I feel like it. Well, that time is now...

Miss Cop is a French cosmetics company, whose products are sold on Amazon, which is where I bought my bottle of Electrique nail polish from. Based on the product picture I thought that I'd be getting a close match to Pacific Blue, but It turned out to be better than a "close match".

Read on to see swatches and comparison photos.

Is Illamasqua Cameo a dupe for the original formulation of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue?

... That was the question that went through my mind when I saw the Illamasqua polish on the shelf in my local TK Maxx store (selected stores now sell Illamasqua polishes for £3.99).

Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear line isn't officially sold in the UK (sometimes the odd bottle turns up in Pound World & Pound Land), so us Brits can't rummage through store displays to try to find remaining older polish bottles. Amazon and EBay sell various shades, however my favourite one - Pacific Blue - was reformulated last year and I can't find bottles of the original formula on UK sites.

Will Cameo fill the gap left by the formulation change to Pacific Blue?

NOTD: New Lengths by Sally Hansen in Orange Pumpkin...

I guess that my new Pumpkin Spice candles influenced my nail polish choice today, as I'm going orange AND am digging into my collection of Halloween polishes.

Today we're taking a look at a New Lengths by Sally Hansen polish, in Orange Pumpkin - a Canada-only Halloween shade (I don't know the year of release)...

NOTD: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in S-Teal A Base...

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in S-Teal A Base is a muted teal colour. In the bottle you can clearly tell that the polish has a shimmer to it. However, as you can see in my photo, on the nail the polish looks like a regular crème from even a foot or so away as the shimmer is so slight.

Found for sale in the UK: [more] Sally Hansen Canada-only Halloween nail polishes…

I guess that, like last time, the post title says everything you really need to know here.
I love Halloween and nail polish, so when I chanced upon some hard-to-find nail polishes which combine my loves whilst browsing Amazon UK last week I couldn't believe my luck. After placing my first order and being impressed by the delivery and items, I had another look online and on Amazon, and found a further three Halloween shades which this cool blog tells me are also from Canada-only collections (though I've been unable to find the year/s of the collection/s).

Unlike before I think that this mini-haul of polishes are shades that can easily be worn most of the year round.

Anyway I'm again doing my public duty and passing on the info to other Halloween/Sally Hansen/rare nailpolish fans...
