The Purple [Palette] reign, with Kylie Cosmetics...

Kylie Cosmetics knocked 30% or 40% off the prices of their eyeshadow palettes at some point around Black Friday 2017 [sorry - my memory for October and November is really fuzzy], so I used the opportunity to pick up some extra xmas gifts for people - and I also got The Purple Palette for myself out of a morbid fascination with the brand curiosity, as I have a few fans of the brand in my life who all say I should try one of their core eyeshadow palettes as they are much better quality then the more-rushed limited edition releases that I have.

So here we are two months worth of applying-and-wearing-the-shadows-all-day testing later; it's time to share a couple of my favourite combos and determine if I think the product quality differs between this more permanent 9-pan palette, compared to the quality of the limited edition palettes I own from the brand.

Will this be the palette that turns my 'meh' opinion of the brand around, or have I wasted more money on another subpar palette from the Kylie Cosmetics brand?

Feeling vampish with The Vampy One, by Pretty Little Palettes...

New brand alert!!

I saw a Instagram advert for a buy-one-get-one-free sale that indie brand Pretty Little Palettes were having, so after a quick click and look on the site, I bought a palette as a birthday gift for someone and got The Vampy One eyeshadow palette for myself to try. Today I want to introduce the palette to you...

When I Googled for more information on the brand, I discovered that they
only began trading in November 2017, and that reality star Holly Hagan is one of the two investors and directors for Pretty Little Palettes - I don't watch reality shows or read gossip magazine articles on them, so that doesn't mean anything to me and won't affect my review in any way, but I'd throw that tidbit out there for those of you that might be interested.
Anyway lets get into the good stuff and see if the eyeshadows are easy to work with and look as good after application, as they do in their pans...

Crystal clear, with added zing; Crystal Gardenia Citrus EDP by KKW Fragrances...

If you follow the KKW Fragrances brand, you'll know that they've just released a new line of fragrances, ready for Valentine's Day. I personally think the new trio [the Kimoji Hearts line] sounds like popular perfumes from Victoria's Secret that I have/had, and I think the bottles and promotional photos make them look cheap, tacky and generally 'meh' - I know that bottle shape and pictures won't affect the actual juice, but I'm getting fussy about the presentation of fragrances.

Instead of taking a closer look at the new perfumes, I'm bringing some attention back to the original range by the brand instead [by 'original' I mean a whole three/four months old]. Today I'm focusing on Crystal Gardenia Citrus, which was actually the first fragrance in the Crystal Gardenia line I bought, and is the one which encouraged me to continue exploring the KKW Fragrances brand. So it's not going to be a huge surprise to discover that I enjoy this fragrance, but lets read why...

It's crystal clear; Crystal Gardenia EDP by KKW Fragrances...

KKW Fragrances. A Kim Kardashian-West brand that I'd heard about and dismissed, as I've tried every perfume previously release by her under her last range [except the HTF Love one] and I wasn't wowed by them. However, I then saw photos of the pretty bottles for the KKW line and was predictably suckered in. One impulse blind buy later and I was soon receiving a bottle in the post...

If you follow the KKW Fragrances line, you'll know that they'll be releasing three new fragrances at 8pm UK-time this evening, ready for Valentine's Day. I personally think that this new trio [the Kimoji Hearts line] looks cheap, tacky and generally 'meh', so instead of looking at them I instead thought I'd bring some attention back to the original range by the brand instead [by 'original' I mean a whole three/four months old].

I'm going to start by focusing on the one that most consider to be the piller of the Crystal Gardenia range...
