Catch the Wave edp: part 2 [by Hollister]...

It's that time of the year; the sun's finally out of hiding, the temperature is rising, brighter colours are flooding clothes shops, so I'm on the hunt for a new fruity/floral fragrance to be my soundtrack for the new season. Like I said in my last post, I want to focus in on a fragrance that comes in bottles that are below the £30 mark, as I don't see any point in spending loads on a seasonal 'everyday' fragrance, that I'll be bored with by the end of summer.

I headed straight back to the seasonal shelf (what I call the stand next to a till in my head) in my local Boots to have a look and found the second addition to the Wave fragrance line by Hollister. Having loads of points on my card to spend, I'd thought that I'd take a closer look at it since I've reviewed the original Wave...

3 palettes, 1 look: Kat Von D, Too Faced and Huda Beauty...

Just writing a quick post to share links to three eyeshadow palette reviews I wrote for Makeup Alley, but haven't had the time to redo & take photos for, to give them justice for a blog review.

As two of the palettes are limited edition, I'm running out of time to find a spare hour or two to sit down and do everything needed for a decent dedicated review for each palette, so I want to give you a heads up on what is available and share a look I did over the weekend using all three of my fairly recent purchases...

Anything Kylie can do, Kim can do ____ [reviewing the KKW x Mario eyeshadow palette by KKW Beauty]

The KKW x Mario eyeshadow palette, formulated specifically for easy layering and blending. Matte shadows provide a creamy powdery finish in an array of universal neutrals to add depth and shade to any eye look. The buttery smooth metallic shadows can be used wet or dry, with brushes or fingers. They glide on effortlessly and provide a saturated pearlized color finish. This go-to palette provides versatility and dimension to your favorite makeup look.

Despite whatever impression you may get from my Kylie Cosmetics eyeshadow collection/strange fascination, I don't care for the K Klan themselves [I think they're irritating, but mostly harmless], but I do follow & admire Mario Dedivanovic's work and wanted to support him - plus not getting his ABH palette is still a sore point and I didn't want to miss out again, so come launch day for his KKW x Mario collection I was stalking the site, ready to pounce on the eyeshadow palette the second that it launched...

Has Kim just copied more of Kylie's footsteps and formulas, or has she pulled something new out of the K Klan bag of tricks? And, if new, is that change for the better or worse?

Don't let the sun go down on... Sunset Fantasy EDT [by Britney Spears]

It's that time of the year; the sun's finally out of hiding, the temperature is rising, brighter colours are flooding clothes shops... so I'm on the hunt for a new fruity/floral fragrance to be my soundtrack for the new season.

I want to focus in on fragrances that are below the £30 mark, as who wants to spend more on a seasonal 'everyday' fragrance when the clothes shops have exciting new options in and it's festival/holiday  season?

Heading straight towards new releases on the seasonal shelf (what I call the stand next to a till in my head) in my local Boots brings me to the new Britney Spears/Elizabeth Arden release for this year, so lets take a closer look...

Discovering the cat's meow? [Review for The Cat's Pajamas eyeshadow palette by Laura Lee Los Angeles]

The Cat's Pajamas [Southern saying meaning that something is awesome - same as bee's knees] eyeshadow palette is something that I was interested in because of all the drama around it and the brand founder (a YouTube 'influencer') herself; I wanted the opportunity to decide for myself what I thought, so when UK stockist Beauty Bay emailed people a 24-hour-only 50% off code for this palette a little while ago, I jumped on it.

I think I've had the palette for close to two months now - in any case, it's definitely been over a month - so I now feel as though I've been wearing the shadows enough to have been able to provide valid thoughts and opinions on it. So with that being said, read on for my verdict...
