As the sun prepares to set on 2020... [reviewing the Sunset eyeshadow palette, by Natasha Denona]

 Natasha Denona's warmest creation yet!

Inspired by the colours of the sunset, this palette features 15 new gorgeous eyeshadow shades in a combination of warm brown tones, burnt oranges, reds, golds, bronzes and yellows.

Natasha Denona Sunset Palette includes all four classic ND formulas in her signature Chroma Crystal, Creamy Matte, Metallic and Duo Chrome.

This was my first Natasha Denona palette; I'd always been interested in this brand and what about the formulas made  them worthy of their price range, but the scary prices were a huge deterrent. However I bit the bullet and bought this at the start of the year, after finding it at TK Maxx. I couldn't not buy it - Sunset was the palette from the brand that has interested me the most and there it was, sat on a shelf calling to me, with a good chunk of change knocked off the RRP...

120M Atmosphere - metallic rose bronze
121CM Sinal - matte burned terracotta
122K Ice Gold - chroma crystal sheer cream with a gold sparkle
123DC Mandarine - duo chrome mandarin with gold highlight
124K Bronzage - chroma crystal light copper

When

125CM Vulcano - matte dark brown with a mauve undertone
126K Aubade - chroma crystal warm gold
127CM Horizon - matte warm orange
128K Sundazed - chroma crystal gold
129CM Terra - matte terracotta

130CM Bermuda - matte paste peachy nude
131DC Morgana - duo chrome red with golden highlight
132CM Panjin - matte red
133CM Igneaus - matte deep brown
134 CM Sol - matte warm yellow

The colour story is "everyday classic neutrals, with fiery warm pops" - the kind of colour story that I enjoy all year round. There are staple brown mattes, some stunning golden shades, cute orange tones, and there are bolder colour pops in red & yellow.

The shadows all have great pigmentation, everything is easy to blend & build up, and there's no heavy shimmer/glitter that doesn't adhere to skin and goes everywhere, plus everything is crease & fade resistant - even if you wear a shimmer in the crwase.

I've not had any issues with shades skipping or oxidizing. Speaking of soft shadow; there is kick-up with most of the shades in this palette when I dip my brushes into the pans, but that is something that never really bothers me as long as the powders apply and perform well, which these do. These shadows are soft, but the formulas aren't that kind of mega pigmentation in one swipe, which can be intimidating. I've never felt such smooth and silly eyeshadow formulas before - blending is so quick and easy.

I've worn all of the shades plenty of times in this palette now, and can not single out any shade for not performing well, so do not have any serious criticisms for this palette. Yes; it's a expensive palette to buy, but the quality is really something special, and the amount of high-end product that you get (37.5g) is generous.

Very fun and poppy, yet very wearable and cohesive colour story. I very highly recommend this palette to anyone who wants to slimline their eyeshadow collection down to palettes that can be worn every season & can create looks for any ocassion.

The Sunset palette costs £111and is available from Feel UniqueLook Fantastic, Cult Beauty, and Selfridges.
