The Glow must go on... [reviewing Enduring Glow edt, by Jennifer Lopez].

Developed using some of Jennifer Lopez’s favourite ingredients, Enduring Glow is an eau de parfum that invigorates the mind

Shine bright, always with Enduring Glow. An enticing new fragrance that embodies the everlasting glow of Jennifer Lopez’s timeless success. Delicate, vibrant and spirited, ENDURING GLOW is a fragrance that captures the gleam of a woman in her best light, the undeniable presence in the room.

I've not paid any attention to the Glow range of fragrances for a few years, but I was recently gifted a bottle of the most recent Glow
flanker, which reminded me that this range is still around and still selling well.

Has the line still got any spark left, or will I be soon be forgetting that the line is a thing that still exists?

Enduring Glow avoids the louder fruit punch aspects that are common in the flanker line of Glow perfumes so it makes me feel more put-together and polished, compared to the majority of the other fragrances in the line. The sugar-water of the pear is the strongest fruit note on me, and it pulls the bergamot and lychee together into one fairly quiet creamy blend. Sometimes I'm convinced that I pick up some coconut milk too.

I've always enjoyed the original Glow, so it's the heart and drydown of Enduring Glow that really appeals to me; it's reminiscent to the original Glow, because it makes me feel refreshed as the notes are uncluttered and clean - but it is milder and closer to the skin in comparison to Glow, so even if you're not a fan of the original, still give this a try as it is much more subtle. The magnolia, violet and amber give the fragrance a soft & creamy sweetness, while neroli, orange blossom, sandalwood and musk slightly toughen up the gentle new base, with the signature Glow powdered cleanliness.

This is great for when I don't want to wear anything outwardly sweet, spicy, smoky or powerful floral, but still want to wear a nicely structured fragrance. Enduring Glow is a easy-to-wear fragrance that is best for 'everyday' use; there are no headaches, or any sweetness induced nausea here. There are no ingredients to point strongly to any particular season for use, so Enduring Glow is a versatile fragrance.

Official scent notes: Italian Bergamot, Dewy Pear, Lychee Accord, Magnolia Petals, Pink Peony, Violet Leaf, Sheer Musk, White Amber Crystals.

I understand why this marketed as being part of the Glow line, rather than as a new pillar fragrance; both fragrances are what I'd describe as fresh & clean, but don't confuse that as meaning that this fragrance is overly similar to the original Glow. The longevity lets this fragrance down slightly [a 6 hour longevity and quiet aura], so I'd personally advise looking online for this fragrance for lower prices, or waiting for the likes of Superdrug & Boots to have special offers, rather then paying the full RRP.

Enduring Glow is not original in any way, but it is very pleasant and is a very reasonable price for the quality; I can't say that it's a must-have, because a few of Jennifer's Glow flankers have a very similar blueprint, and her Love & Light and Glowing perfumes are also similar. If you collect J.Lo Glow fragrances this will make a pleasant, if unremarkable, addition. Quite a few reviewers on several different sites have also said that this is close to being a dupe to Chloe Eau de Toilette, though I'm not familiar enough with that fragrance to either agree or disagree.

The limited edition 50ml bottle in my photo (same original Enduring Glow fragrance) is still available in some physical Superdrug stores, at a clearance price of £15. It is no longer on the Superdrug website.
