Makes perfect sense to me: Perfect Nonsense Choco Tuberose edp, by Avon...

A floriental woody big scent collision that feels wild, yet somehow perfect.

Ready to embrace the unexpected? Meet Perfect Nonsense Choco Tuberose Eau de Parfum - a scent collision that defies all fragrance norms.

This floriental woody scent is thriving in its own lane with a surprise mashup of chocolate, deep and delightfully sweet; and tuberose, regally opulent and oh-so elegant.

It's time to complete my reviews on the trio of fragrances in Avon's Perfect Nonsense line.

I've Ready  been blown away by either of the other two, which are the ones I'd thought that I'd enjoy the most, so i didn't go into this expecting much.

Ready for it?

Choco Tuberose opens with exactly what it says; plenty of cocoa and creamy tuberose. My only major niggle with the fragrance happens pretty early on - the pinch of pepper & ginger behind the headline acts isn't a longwearing blend on me and fades away within 10 minutes. A creamy vanilla develops alongside a pinch of turmeric, enveloping and sweetening it.

The tuberose soon takes a backseat to the magnolia,  orange blossom & a soft jasmine - I  can still separate it from the blend, but the other mentioned florals are richer. Underneath the floral bouquet is the fantasy note of cosmofruit [described as a blend of caramel apple, chestnut & florals]; I can sometimes separate a hint of caramel apple underneath the supercharged cocoa - I can't separate anything else I could confidently call a fruit in the fragrance.

The turmeric gradually becomes louder and more traditionally masculine as the vetiver & cypriol develop fully, for a more earthy base. As the florals and vanilla quieten, a breeze of sandalwood mingles with the cocoa to prevent the fragrance from leaning fully into ever traditionally either masculine or feminine territory.

Officially listed scent notes: Pepper Sichuan, Ginger Oil, Cosmofruit, Golden Turmeric, Magnolia, Indian Tuberose, Cocoa Shell, Vetiver Oil, Cypriol.

Like with the first Perfect Nonsense fragrance I reviewed, Choco Tuberose wears for around 6 hours on skin, but clings really well to fabric. It applies on the softer side of moderate and quietens down further, but never becomes a skin-scent.

Choco Tuberose is my favourite fragrance in the Perfect Nonsense line, although it is the one that fits the theme the least - gourmand notes mixed with white florals, then sprinkled with spice is a  blueprint for quite a few extremely popular fragrances. Nothing unique & unexpected here, but this is still lovely and smells more expensive than it is. Very well done. I couldn't take a photo of my bottle because I've misplaced it, and I enjoy it enough to be planning to replace it if I can't find it by the time our local Avon seller drops off the next catalogue.

Choco Tuberose can be bought from the Avon website, Avon catalogues, Amazon, eBay, and some Superdrug stores also stock it.

The 50ml edp bottle is £13, the matching 200ml body spray is £10 and the 150ml bottle of scented shower gel is £5.25.
