Dare to do it again...
This new limited-edition eau de toilette was sent from above, a bright and juicy fragrance inspired by Britney’s instantly iconic Oops!...I Did It Again. Feel an out of this world rush wearing this fresh and sophisticated take on cherry, as unique as Britney herself. A sparkling temptation that’s dipped in desire and impossible to resist, it’s just so typically you. With a bottle emulating Britney’s instantly recognizable red catsuit, every Fantasy fan will be saying, “awe, you shouldn’t have!” Fantasy: Did It Again Edition, the unexpected new fragrance by Britney Spears that’s not that innocent.
Lose all your senses as this Floral Amber Fruity fragrance invites you to blast off to Mars with opening notes of juicy mandarin, pear and lily of the valley. Play with the heart of rose absolute, lavender and almond mousse, before getting lost in the game as the addictive back notes of cherry jubilee, uplifting musk and red sandalwood keep the fragrance present, like your favorite song on repeat.
I wasn't planning on keeping up with the Fantasy line of fragrances, because I felt that the quality has been on a downwards slope, but I came across this online and read that this edition contains cherry and almond - and there is a price offer on it in Superdrug. Sold.
The long-wearing-yet-light cherry note is clean, so I don't understand why it is described as being a cherry jubilee note [which is sweeter & has strengthening in], maybe because of the nutty & creamy notes which begin to come through & add some warmth to the fragrance as the top notes fade away? A faint whisper of lily & lavender are detectable, but it is the rose that is the clearest floral note for sure. There is some vanilla and orange blossom here too, which I'm guessing is meant to represent vanilla orchid.
The sandalwood strengthens the mousse & almond milk, adding more warmth and creaminess to the blend, as the fragrance becomes softer & closer to the skin. The cherry, vanilla and musk mingles with the powderiness of the orange blossom, maintaining the lightly vintage feel to the fragrance as it becomes a skin-scent.
Officially listed scent notes: Mandarin, Pear, Lily of the Valley, Milk Mousse, Almond Cream, Rose, Lavender, Sandalwood, Cherry and Musk.
I find Did It Again to be like a mix of Ariana Grande's Thank U Next 2.0 & Cherry Eclipse, with a sprinkling of Britney’s Curious. However Did It Again is a bit more energetic thanks to a fresher vibe of her earlier release, and it does wear better than anything in Ariana's ranges. I think that it's very nice "everyday" fragrance that I don't regret blindly ordering, but I will say that it doesn't bring the original Fantasy fragrance to mind - maybe a slight hint of Midnight Fantasy, so I guess it gets away with being a flanker.
I recommend buying Did It Again from Superdrug, because it is only £26 for a 100ml bottle there.
Other retailers sell it for £42.
