Klean girl? [reviewing XO Khloé edp, by Khloé Kardashian]

 XO KHLOÉ by KHLOÉ KARDASHIAN is an unforgettable fragrance crafted with love. 

XO Khloé is the first ever signature fragrance by Khloé Kardashian, and it perfectly captures the joyful essence of the reality and social media star and business mogul in all her glory. It Is designed to inspire positivity, confidence, and strength, encouraging a sense of warmth, peace, kindness and beauty.

I saw a post advertising this perfume last Christmas when it was exclusively launched in Harrods [17th December 2024] and the scent notes instantly interested me, but the cost put me off from blindly purchasing a bottle. In the end I decided that it would receive a wider release at some point in all likelihood, so I decided to show some patience by waiting for it to become available somewhere where I could have amble testing before deciding if I actually wanted to buy myself a bottle.

Well, that time is now; you can purchase XO Khloè from Boots, both in-store and online. Plus a 30ml bottle option is available...

The moss in XO Khloé is immediately obvious to me despite being listed as a base note, shortly by the sage & musk = green and airy, with a herby undertone, as well as something watery and everything is topped with a sprig of lavendar. A country stream with lavender growing along it comes to mind for me. 

The lavender leads the way towards a traditionally feminine powdered floral heart, starring velvety rose and orange blossom. I can't separate anything clearly except for the three listed florals, but I'm fairly sure that there is a sprinkling of peony & jasmine in the mix too. Maybe neroli? Brief wafts of sweet peach and the praline come and go amongst the floral blend 

I don't mean to deliberatly compare this against other Kardashian-associated fragrances, but as XO khloè gradually becomes a skin-scent it does seem resembilant of Cosmic on me; it becomes warm and ambery, with a smooth creaminess from the sandalwood. Sometimes I can detect some lingering praline too, but sometimes I don't. The sense of warmth and softness does bring skin to mind as the fragrance dries down slowly. 

Officially listed scent notes: Rose Petals, Lavender, Sage, Praline, Peach, Orange Blossom, Musk, Woody Notes, Tonka Bean and Moss.

The timing for the wider release of XO Khloé was spot-on; it is absolutely perfect for this time of the year, because it is a fragrance I'd best describe as 'clean' in one word, and it has a softer projection which is great for the warmer months ahead. Having said that, I do think it will carry through to the colder months, as the cleaner scent notes will give the fragrance a nice icy vibe. XO Khloè applies on the quieter side of moderate, becomes softer as the floral heart develops, and ultimately wears for around 7/8 hours. 

I enjoy this for the same reason I enjoy Bombshell; because of the way it transforms so fully in stages. It's a 3-in-1 fragrance. I tested it a few times & enjoyed it enough to purchase a large bottle, and I continue to regularly reach for it.

XO Khloé was exclusive to Harrods in a 100ml bottle [£75], but is now also sold in Boots in 100ml and 30ml [£55]. 

I don't know if other retailers will begin to stock it, but at the minute a 50ml bottle isn't available, so I suspect another retailer will stock one in the near-future.
