Plush <> lush: rviewing Eden Plush Pear | 23 edp, by Kayali.

Plush, Dreamy, Dewy

Eden Plush Pear | 23 Eau de Parfum captures the comforting nostalgia of life’s golden moments. It opens with the sweetness of ripe pear and bright mandarin, evoking carefree, sunlit days, while airy freesia and gardenia add a soft, luminous touch, and decadent vanilla caviar wraps you in its dreamy scent bubble...

I've fallen way behind wh:en it comes to Kayali releases overall, however when it comes to their Eden collection I'm always ready to go.

Spoiler alert: it was difficult to choose between the two new editions in the Eden line - Plush Pear & Sweet Peach - or one of last year's releases, which I hadn't gotten around to buying, becaus they all smell amazing. After multiple testings I was actually leaning more towards Sweet Peach or Maui Dreams, but something took over me when I went into Sephora to buy a bottle of one of those, and I grabbed a bottle of Plush Pear instead.

Does the performance consistency live up to my expectations?

The pear note in Plush Pear is the most authentic one that I can recall coming across in a perfume - so mouth watering, like I've just sliced into a fresh pear. The bergamot is also pretty clear and longwearing, whilst the mandarin is very subtle - to the point where I don't always pick up on it.

The gardenia develops quickly and partners wonderfully with the bergamot and the lily; such a fresh, sharp & dewy combination, with a wash of sugar water from the pear - gardenia is one of those floral notes that happens to be in fragrances that I dislike, so I began to believe that I disliked that particular floral note, but I've now have multiple fragrances I really enjoy that contain it so I must have a soft spot for it secretly.  The coconut water & the orange blossom team up with the pear and eventually, giving the fresher floral blend a soft & sweet base.

As the base notes come through and the coconut becomes more developed, Plush Pear becomes sweeter, creamier and deeper; the vanilla caviar (vanilla bean) & woody medley develop to mix with the lingering fruity/floral blend, adding depth and a comfortable feel to the fragrance - like a warm hug.

The longevity and projection are both better than the older two fragrances in the Eden collection; Plush Pear gives me around 8/9 hours on average, with a softer side of moderate projection. Very impressive for a Eden fragrance - this line is inspired by 90s body mists.

Officially listed scent notes: Pear, Mandarin, Bergamot, Freesia, Gardenia, Coconut Water, Lily of the Valley, Orange Blossom, Vanilla Caviar, Cashmere Wood and Sandalwood.

Plush Pear is another winner from Kayali imo, and is fabulous worn alone as well as being layered with Sparkling Lychee. love that you get what is listed when it comes to Kayali fragrances; any other fruit & floral scent notes are invisible, because the balance between them and the listed otes is perfectly done.

This isn't as sweet as most Kayali fragrances, as well as being the kind of fragrance that I think will carry through all year around, so
it is extremely wearable. Excellent value for money.

Now I'm more excited about picking up Sweet Peach soon - I'm pushing back on other things I've been wanting, and putting Sweet Peach at the top of my wishlist.
When I originally reviewed the original Eden release [Juicy Apple] I wasn't sure that I'd want to replace it once Io'd finished my bottle. However now I actually have finished it, I've really been missing it...
