Speedy Review: Far Away Sparkle edp, by Avon.

An enchanting fruity gourmand scent that turns any moment into a celebration...

Looking for the best perfume to uplift your spirits this festive season? We’ve got just the thing. Meet our limited edition Far Away Sparkle Eau de Parfum - a fruity gourmand perfume for women that’s got Santa taking notes.

Centered around the decadence of caramelised praline (yeah, we’re salivating too!) that’s crafted to be three times more addictive than the traditional gourmand note - this fragrance is the touch of glamour you need to keep calm and sparkle on.

It also makes the perfect present for the holiday season. #JustSaying

Ahh; we're going to be celebrating Christmas with a beautifully bottled flanker from a reliable line of fragrances - surely we're going to be finishing the year on a strong note now?

Here's hoping 🤞

Sparkle lives up it's name immediately by opening with bright fruity notes and a sweet vanilla warmth, which is a combination that lasts; the cherry, pear & peach blend, wrapped in vanilla is mouth watering, and lingers throughout the classic Far Away white floral combination. Everything rests over a delicious candied praline accord.

The vanilla and the sugary sweet & creamy praline strengthens as the florals become powdery and sandalwood develops alongside the soft musk. The cherry also becomes stronger as a mix of berries boost it up.

The longevity and projection isn't the best that this line can produce, but they are still both really good - great when you factor in the affordable price-point. About 6/7 wear on skin for me, with a softer-side-of-moderate projection, that does become quiet, but not quite a sÄ·in scent.

Officially listed scent notes: Pear, Peach, Cherry Accord, Caramelised Praline, Jasmine Sambac, Orange Blossom, Red Fruit, Vanilla, Benzoin, Creamy Musk.

Far Away Sparkle isn't original by any stretch - theres a few unrelated Avon fragrances and many other fragrances by other brands that this is somewhat similar to. I do still really enjoy Sparkle though and I do recommend it; it's something that is pleasing for a wide audience, the performance is great for something so affordable, and the bottle looks amazing on the dresser.

I'll say to hurry up and buy this if you like the sound of it, because I'm not sure how limited Sparkle is; I mean is it a smaller run to just cover the festive season and new year, or will the batches produced be large enough to last as long as the other limited edition Far Away flankers?

You can buy Far Away Sparkle from the Avon website, and the Avon catalogues.

The 50ml bottle is £17, and the 125ml shimmering body lotion tube is £5.50. You can buy both items for 19.50.
