A bronzed carving; Tantour, by Huda Beauty...

I've been on a bronze kick this year and want to share one of my newer finds today.

I'm not a huge wearer of cream-based face products [not sure why I stick to powder products, since my skintype is dry], so Huda's Tantour bronzing contour cream only caught my eye because I had a voucher for Feel Unique & the brand is my current 10% off 'brand for life'.

Take three; the Venus III eyeshadow palette, by Lime Crime...

A new incarnation of Lime Crime’s ardently adored Venus Palette has arrived – and it’s a riot of rapturous lilac, rose gold and mauve shades, anchored by earthy browns. The ultra-buttery formula sweeps on richly pigmented colour that won’t fade or fall out, letting you create make up masterpieces befitting Botticelli himself. With eight matte, shimmering matte, glowing and metallic shades, this dreamy edit is eye-deal for reinvigorating your arsenal, whatever the season.

Venus III is described as being "the heavenly sister" to the grungier Venus palettes and my preferred makeup looks have swung back around to the more traditional 'feminine and pretty' placements and colour combinations, so will this palette hit the right notes for me?

EOTD: the Jaclyn Hill palette, by Morphe....

Today's look is me celebrating finally wearing the aqua and turquoise shades in the Jaclyn Hill palette, whilst out and about - I have played around with them and wore a look using them around my house when I first got the palette to see if they wore well, but I'd never worn them for a real-life event until now. I guess it could also be a look for saying a final farewell to summer '19 - I've been in a autumn-ready 'pumpkin spice everything' mood for weeks now, thanks to the wet and chilly weather.

Anyway; lets get ready to wave goodbye to summer, with this chilled pool-water inspired look...

A closer look at... the Killawatt Foil Freestyle Highlighter Duo [7daywknd/Poolside] by Fenty Beauty...

Fenty Beauty first released three duo-highlighter compacts with their 'Killawatt Foil' formula as part of their summer line last year, and they described the formulas as being "weightless, long-wear cream-powder hybrid highlighter duos with a hyper-metallic finish" ones, which double up as eyeshadows [I guess that this foiled highlight formula has proved very popular, as the 'limited edition' compacts are still available and there are more shades available with the 'Killawatt Foil' formula].

I got two out of the three [here and here] of the original duos last year when the brand was exclusive to Harvey Nichols, and I wasn't impressed by the foiled formula. But now that the Fenty brand has landed in Boots I decided to put my Beauty Club points to use and round out my collection by picking up the duo that was missing from the collection for free - everyone else seems to love the Killawatt Foil formula, so I was curious to find out if maybe the formula has been tweaked...

EOTD: The Icon eyeshadow palette, by Charlotte Tilbury...

As the limited edition Icon palette is still available, I thought that this would be a nice time to share another one of my easy-to-wear looks, that would be great for work.

This is a simple look, that's quick & easy to do; I wanted to share this look, as it's one of the few times that I've not followed the trios that the palette has been set into.

Sweet dreams are made of... the Dream With A Vision eye palette, by Makeup Obsession.

"Do you dream in colour? The Makeup Obsession Dream With A Vision shadow palette will have you on cloud 9.
Let your imagination run wild with this whimsical mix of pretty pigmented pastels and bold brights. 16 shades, including 9 smooth mattes and 7 buttery shimmers to create as many looks as you can dream up!"

Makeup Obsession's Dream With A Vision palette is the palette I bought because some of the shades seemed really close to ones in KvD Beauty's much lusted after Pastel Goth eyeshadow palette [the results of that are here], and now I've been using it numerous times since then and now confident enough for a complete review.

So; has Dream With A Vision been, err, a dream or a nightmare?

My HG; powder bronzer in Tawny, by Anastasia Beverly Hills...

I recently mentioned that ABH's Tawny bronzer is my favourite and I thought that I'd review it today, since I never got round to reviewing it last year when it launched.

I have a fair skintone [I go between the lightest & second lightest shades in foundations] and struggle with bronzer; I have to be very careful with application and blending with them, as bronzers all seem to turn orange on me. I was very keen to try ABH bronzer in the shade Tawny as Stefanie Nicole was wearing it in a video she made reviewing the line. Since I find her opinions honest & valid and she has a similar skintone and type to me, I jumped on the bronzer as soon as it launched in the UK.

At the time, I'd really wanted to find a new bronzer that gave my skin a non-dirty sun-kissed glow, without needing to spend 5 to 10 minutes fussing over my application.

This is the story of me finding that HG product...
