Hot Fuzz... [reviewing Perfect Nonsense Peppery Peaches edp, by Avon]

A cheerful floral fruity burst for a fragrant adventure that’s as lively as you are...

Ready to embrace the unexpected? Meet Perfect Nonsense Peppery Peaches Eau de Parfum - a scent collision that defies all fragrance norms.

This floral fruity fusion’s got pink peppercorn coming in hot with a fiery kick that’ll have your spine buzzing, then BAM… peach enters the chat with its fresh and juicy vibe.

Don’t sleep on sensory plot twists like this one… it’s giving scents that makes no sense yet arouse every sense… and we’re here for it!

I'm really excited to finally get to tuck in to Avon's new line 'Perfect Nonsense', which currently contains three fragrances. The fragrances are formed around clashing key scent notes; everything screams, energy,  uniqueness, and that a modern approach is being used.

Peppery Peaches was the first fragrance in the line that I received [I ordered them all together from my Avon seller upon seeing that they were available in the UK, but the other two were already out of stock], so that will be my starting point for my reviews...

The opening for Peppery Peaches lives up to the name of the fragrance, the name of the line, and the advertisements; the spicy heat from the pepper crossed with the gentle juiciness of a soft peach - I can't describe the scent of the velvet accord in any real detail, it's just a hint of fuzziness and gentle warmth.  Sometimes I can separate the brief squeeze of bergamot, but other times I can't.

The rose is the strongest floral note for sure, although the osmanthus is also pretty clear - the combination is amazing with the peach. The other florals aren't clear enough to be easy to seperate, but I feel confident with saying that some jasmine & orange blossom is in the background. Sometimes I think that I get lily blended with remaining traces of pepper too?
The sense of warmth and brightness in the heart does bring something solar to mind - I can't name a scent or anything, it's more of a feeling that the blend brings to mind.

As the fragrance softens/becomes closer to the skin the sweetness and creaminess dials up; a sugared vanilla, with tonka bean, sandalwood and a soft musk.  Sweet, warm and creamy - goes wonderfully with the remaining peach and white floral traces.

Offically listed scent notes: Velvet Peach, Pink Peppercorn, Bergamot Peel, Golden Osmanthus, Rose Petals, Solar accords, White Flowers, Benzoin Resin, Vanilla Sugar, Tonka Beans.

The longevity and projection are really good, but not as amazing as Avon's best selling Far Away line - around six hours wear on skin, with a soft [but not skin-scent] projection. For the price I have no complaints, but I do recommend spritzing some on clothing too, as the fragrance clings to fabric for over twelve hours.

I'm really enjoying the highly wearable Peppery Peaches and have been wearing it often. This perfume is a strong like, but admittedly not a love; I really wish that the pepper was longer wearing throughout the fragrance, for a more clashing, energetic blend. I would still consider a repurchase in the future because it has similarities with a few other fragrances I really enjoy [a couple of recent finds being XO Khloè & Fleur Majesty], but this is a much more affordable choice.

I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on the other two fragrances in the collection now 🙌

Peppery Peaches can be bought from the Avon website, Avon catalogues, Amazon, eBay, and some Superdrug stores also stock it.

The 50ml edp bottle is £13 and the matching bottle of 150ml scented shower gel is £5.25.
