Speedy Review; Vanilla Suede edp, by Ariana Grande..

Ariana Grande has launched her new collection of four fragrances called LOVENOTES as a personal endeavor to make scent the ultimate and universal love language. Each edition in this collection represents a love letter from Ariana to a different part of the world, conveying messages of joy, gratitude, and affection.

NThe four releases are Vanilla Suede in the UK, Angels Kiss in Europe, Pink Woods in northern America, and Pressed Petals in Australia.

The bottle design is more adult than the past Ariana Grande fragrances, so fingers crossed for a new approach to the juice.  Vanilla Suede is described as "a richly sensorial fragrance that delivers an incredibly edible and delectable, almost veil-like sensuality. The top teases with sparkling notes, ¡while the heart reveals intimate warmth. The base further enhances the cocooning sensuality and skin-like appeal."

Vanilla Suede is a pleasant fragrance, but it is ultimately boring as most of her fragrances already use this same basic bergamot/vaniilla/sandalwood/musk blueprint, so it's quite dull to see her continually repeating it rather than being creative & doing something different.

Unfortunately the longevity is extremely poor and I struggle to detect anything after 10 minutes. I can't come up with anything more descriptive for Vanilla Suede other than soft vanilla, creamy sandalwood and a hint of bergamot & rose in a linear blend. Seems more appropriate for the autumn and winter months, though I suppose it is almost autumn now.

Officially listed scent notes; Bergamot, Creamy Sandalwood, Rice Milk, Vanilla Beans and Liquid Musks.

Most of the Ariana Grande perfumes have 'meh' longevity, but this i 1s the worst. Considering that this is the brand's most expensive release, the longevity is shockingly poor;  I couldn't detect the rice milk, which is the reason I wanted to try Vanilla Suede. I know that it is described as having a skin-like appeal so was expecting a gentle blend, but this is barely noticeable within 10 minutes & it simply vanishes within 20 minutes. Thank goodness that I didn't impulsively blind buy it and instead repeatedly tested it in a Boots store.

Personally I'd have preferred the UK to have gotten Angels Kiss or perhaps Pink Woods. However I imagine that the whole collection will eventually get a worldwide release anyway, so paying international shipping to fill in your collection to be amonst the first to have the complete set isn't worth the expense.

Vanilla Suede is exclusive to Boots. It is only available in a 125ml bottle for £75.
