Getting lippie: reviewing Le Monster Matte Lip Crayon in Fire Me, by Haus Laboratories.

"This full-coverage, creamy formula strikes in one swipe with unexpected comfort and lightweight matte payoff, wrapping lips in smoother, fuller-looking color you can sink your teeth into" - Haus Lab

MATTE COMES ALIVE

Each MONSTER goes on smooth, then dries down morphing from creamy application to a budge-proof matte finish.

COLOR, CRUSHED

The lip-boosting complex and crushed pigments combine to attack lips in one swipe with fuller, smoother-looking payoff that keeps its grip.

COVERAGE THAT KILLS

Get matte and stay even with water-resistant, streak-free, budge-proof coverage.

Haus Labs call the shade Fire Me a dirty orange; I'd say a dusty -orange-based coral, so yeah, I more or less agree with the official description. A dark & dull orange, with a hint of red. Nice for those of us who like the idea of a vibrant coral lip, but also like lipsticks a bit more toned down.

The comfortable and lightweight formula is comparable to Charlotte Tilbury's matte lipsticks; smooth & buttery to apply, there's hardly any transfer,  and it'll wear 5 to six hours before needing touching up [depending on food and drink]. When it does begin to fade and wear down, I find that when it does start to fade, it does so evenly.

If this wasn't a world where facemasks are now necessary most places in pubic [I'm actually exempt, but wear one anyway], I'd probably have picked up almost every shade in the 12-piece lineup by now - the formula is fantastic, and the way that the tube is shaped makes application quick & easy.

When wen we no longer need to wear face masks in public, I'll be celebrating by buying a few more shades of Le Monster.

Le Monster lip crayons are £18 and are sold through Haus Labs and Amazon UK.
