Lets crack this one open: Nutcracker large jar candle by Yankee Candle...

Who's feeling Christmassy? Not me, but I'm trying to get into the swing of things...

The customer reviews I've found for today's highlighted product come from 2009 and 2010, but as Nutcracker can now be found online and in Yankee outlet stores in the UK I want to try to get into the festive spirit and write a quick review for it.

Nutcracker is mostly a mix of pine and berries, so is quite fresh and airy, I'd even say that it's a bit tart. However there is a light hint of something spicy and citrusy underneath the berries - spiced orange, maybe? I'm also convinced that I can catch the occasional whiff of roasted chestnut too; but as this note is largely hidden underneath everything else'm not sure if it is indeed chestnut, or if it's just more woodsy notes and the name is fooling me into imagining chestnuts...

As with all Yankee candles, the entirety of the wax is perfumed; I've used some candles where the fragrance burns up before the candle does, but that is not the case here. The fragrance lasts as long as the candle does and is strong enough to travel over the house. Admittedly Nutcracker does have a quieter fragrance in comparison to the majority of the other Yankee Candles I've tried over the years, but I can still catch occasional wafts of the perfume whilst the candle is unlit - outstanding for a candle that's probably been in storage for seven years!

I've lost my receipt, but I think I paid £18.99 for my jar, at a Yankee Candle outlet store.
[I went to Salford Quays outlet mall].
£15.99 [+ £2.80 postage]: eBay
£19.99: Yankee Direct
£21.99: House of Harris
